When people talk about comedians being really really intelligent this is what they mean

Being autistic means you get taught that lying is bad and you should be kind, and you internalize that, and then for the rest of your life everyone thinks youre a stupid idiot because you dont lie at the right times

i hate when people say, "if you fall out with everyone, you're the problem" because when you're neurodivergent, it's like people can sense that you're different and subconsciously view you as "lesser" because of it. then you end up being treated badly, excluded, misunderstood, or taken advantage of and somehow you're still blamed for every friendship falling apart.

My tips for adhd if you’re unmedicated:
- get a job. get something. Get anything with rigid structure that you can build your days around and no you do not have the self discipline to motivate yourself into following a schedule that you set yourself
- PUT THE PLANNERS DOWN

if youre going to represent gluttony as a person who eats a lot then you should represent lust as a gooner who catcalls and harasses random people. if youre going to make lust a sexy woman then you should make gluttony a chef am i making sense or js rambling

I’m increasingly of the belief that the creators of children’s literature in the distant past had a much higher opinion (and higher expectations) of their audience than many of those in modern times.

Can someone explain why ADHD gives us the emotional wisdom of an ancient philosopher for other people's problems, but the organizational skills of a raccoon in a dumpster for our own chores?

Crying fat hot tears because I saw a video of a bear being released to the wild and all the rangers are yelling and setting off fireworks so the bears won’t think humans are safe, because we aren’t.

I'm going to keep shouting this from the rooftop until it reaches every single one of y'all:
High-masking AuDHD women don’t struggle with communication.
We struggle with over-communication.
We anticipate the reaction, pre-process what someone is going to say, try to respond as softly and nonconfrontationally as possible by over-explaining, then anticipate the reaction again, and rinse and repeat.
It looks emotionally intelligent. But it’s the equivalent of
