🚨🎙️ Roy Keane on Harry Kane winning the 2026 Ballon d'Or over Kylian Mbappé and Lamine Yamal: "You know what? For once, I am actually enjoying an awards ceremony because we are finally seeing somebody who actually deserves taking that Ballon d'Or trophy home. No PR stunts, no nonsense publicity games—just pure, unadulterated football. This is what it actually means to put the work in and have the results do the talking. Did Mbappé and Yamal deserve to be in the conversation? Of course, the talent there is obvious. But if we are talking about who genuinely earned to be crowned the best in the world, it is Harry Kane. His standards never slipped, not for a single second. Look at what he has done for club and country this season. He went out, scored seventy-three goals in sixty-five appearances, including sixty-one in fifty-one games for Bayern Munich alone. He didn't just pad his stats; he delivered in the biggest moments, netting fourteen times in the Champions League and twelve more with England, including six at the World Cup to lead his nation to a bronze medal. He led Bayern to the Bundesliga title and the DFB-Pokal. He has been an absolute machine. This is what I appreciate about the game. Hard work, relentless consistency, and leading from the front—not off the pitch, but on it. Harry Kane winning it tonight is football at its absolute truest." #BallonDor

Dear followers, Over the next few days, starting today, I will post a number of threads on AI. My focus will be on uncomfortable questions for our current AI discourse. I am doing this because I feel that the public conversation on AI is not tackling the big issues and dangers, and what I view as important questions are not being asked by industry insiders and the media. I must preface these posts by saying that I am not an AI scientist, so my understanding of some of the issues may be faulty. And I do not claim to know the answers to these questions. My aim is to make a small contribution by emphasizing the questions that I believe are important but are being neglected. Thank you

Q: Do parents allocate inheritance equally among children? A: No, they reward daughters who care for them but not sons! Good & bad news as it reinforces gendered norms of daughters caring duties & discourages sons. (w. @JavierOliveraA & P. Van Kerm) sciencedirect.com/science/ar…

I absolutely agree
Don’t let AI rob you of the joy of failing to write a single coherent sentence over the course of a full work day
