I have often thought that using digital modes in the field can be excessive. However, with the alternative firmware for #X6100 from R1CBU, working with FT4 and FT8 is a joy. There’s no need for extra laptops or tablets—just a transceiver, and the log is stored on a memory card.

For months, the Jeep’s Flex 6300 firmware was outdated. Today, I finally upgraded it in the field, using the Starlink Mini terminal as the Jeep’s broadband connection. Worked like a champ. 👍🏻
