Meet Lailynne, our 2027 Easter Seals Nova Scotia Ambassador! ❤️
We're proud to have Lailynne share her experiences and help tell the Easter Seals story. Because we believe our stories should be told with people, not simply about people.

What a night to celebrate!
Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Ride On! Champions of Inclusion Soirée & Silent Auction, celebrating 95 years of Easter Seals Nova Scotia and 90 years of the Halifax Lancers.
To everyone who helped bring the evening together, thank you.
We’re helping spread the word about a research project for Sophia from the University of New Brunswick exploring the experiences of climbers with physical disabilities across Canada.

Getting into the Halloween spirit!
This morning, our clients had a great time carving and painting pumpkins to celebrate Halloween. From scooping out the pumpkin guts to carving creative designs and adding colourful paint, everyone got involved in the fun! 🎃
Busy in the kitchen at New Leaf!
Throughout the week, our program room participants get hands-on experience preparing food and baked goods for our cafe. Today’s tasks included chocolate chip muffins, banana bread, wrapping brownies, and washing dishes.

This morning, Program Room participants explored science with a fun sink-or-float experiment!
Using paper clips and fruit, they tested what sinks, what floats, and how to create a whirlpool to retrieve sunken objects.
Nel is part of our Easter Seals Nova Scotia family and recently shared something truly beautiful — performing sign language to Sia’s song “Unstoppable.”
Her performance is a powerful reminder that ability comes in many forms and that confidence and determination have no limits.
4 Nursing Students from Dalhousie completed their community placement with us over the last few weeks. During their time with us they learned about different communication methods, adaptions & accessibility tools
For their final project they created a Health Promotion trivia game

Another fun evening at Evening Explorers. Painting pumpkins and playing board games. Some new faces, making new connections, socializing while having fun as parents and caregivers get a well-deserved night out. Our volunteers are pretty talented as well.
Our Ride On! Champions of Inclusion Soirée & Silent Auction will feature exciting items and experiences from generous local businesses, with something to look forward to bidding on.
