I went for a job interview and happened to be the first candidate. After my interview, I came back outside.
I knew the other candidates were curious about the questions I had been asked, so when they stylishly asked, I told them everything.
Sometimes, you get to a point where you just want to try one last time before letting go.
It could be a business you have been struggling to grow, a job you have been trying to get, a goal you have been chasing for years, or a situation you have been hoping would get better.
So you try one more time, not because you are sure it will work, but because you want to know you did everything you could before walking away.
And when it still doesn’t work, you finally accept that you cannot keep doing the same thing and expect a different result.
The worst mistake I ever made was not being present when my wife delivered our first child. I had to travel for work, so l asked my younger brother to stay with us and help her with anything she needed while I was away.
But gradually, things began to change. She started recognising my face. She became comfortable with my voice, and one day, when I carried her, she looked up at me and smiled instead of crying. That smile nearly brought tears to my eyes.
I decided to pay for the groceries of 20 people at the mart today after noticing there were about 14 people queued up on both sides of the counter.
So I decided to cover their bills and extend the gesture to a few more people if others joined the queue.
He was so loud that I had to intervene and calm the attendant down before things got worse.
But what annoyed me the most was that this wasn’t even a case of someone picking up one or two extra items.
