Steelers long snapper Christian Kuntz is the Week 9 NFLPA Community MVP. He and his wife, Heather, donated $10,000 to Pittsburgh Morrow school to help open a new resource room, which will provide food, uniforms and hygiene kits for at-risk kids and families every month. The Kuntz 4 Ki6s Foundation also hosted a Halloween Bash, welcoming 80 local children for trick-or-treating, and pumpkin decorating.

I never thought I’d run a marathon in my life. I’ve never been a runner. In fact, I’ve always hated it.
Yesterday, I ran the NYC Marathon.
All I did was set a goal. I challenged myself, made sacrifices, put in the work, and refused to give up.
And yesterday was the most rewarding day of my life.
Go do something hard.
48 hours out from the NYC Marathon, and I threw out my back. As if this journey hasn’t been difficult enough.
I was devastated when it happened this morning. I’ve never experienced an injury like this, and for a while, I let myself fall into a victim mindset.
Then my mother, a woman who has battled through cancer, gave me the best speech of my life.
It’s just another obstacle in the road. Negative thinking leads to negative outcomes. The only way forward is with a positive and resilient mindset.
Sometimes I forget that I have the strongest woman in the world right beside me. I love her more than words can describe, and I’m forever grateful for the way she continues to show up for me.
I also think about my grandfather, who is battling dementia. He's my best friend. A man who has run more than 10 marathons and completed the NYC Marathon multiple times. I carry him with me every step of the way.
When I think about what my mother, grandfather, and grandmother have faced, I know I can find the strength to overcome this obstacle.
I'm getting to that finish line on Sunday. It won't be easy, but with my mother, grandmother, and grandfather in my corner, I know I'll have everything I need to keep going.
This is bigger than a race. It's about family, perseverance, and never giving up.
