This was Festus keyamo endorsing rig and die. This is the house he bought here in America, where he hid his own useless children. Don’t let anyone gaslight you. In 2027, If you rig, you die!

Sir Kessington Adebutu's (Baba Ijebu) son, Adebisi Adebutu, has secured $81.9 million in financing to nearly triple porcelain tile production in Nigeria. Afreximbank has approved the senior term loan for Veenocks Limited, founded by Adebisi Abidemi Adebutu, to support a $145 million expansion of its manufacturing plant in Sagamu, Ogun State. The investment will increase annual production capacity from 3.3 million to 9.9 million square meters, while creating 300 additional direct jobs on top of the more than 200 employees already working at the facility The expansion also aims to reduce Nigeria's dependence on imported building materials, increase the use of locally sourced raw materials and position Veenocks as a major supplier to African markets. Adebisi Adebutu, who heads R28 Holdings, is seeking to build a globally competitive Nigerian manufacturer capable of meeting European quality standards. Source: Shore Africa.

I have written before to advise Datti Ahmed, and it is unfortunate that I am writing again to advise him. I understand that, as someone whose university was picked and approved by the Federal Government for the payment of ₦1.347 billion for the September 2025–August 2026 academic session of 254 sponsored students, he may feel the need to attack the opposition, especially Peter Obi, to appease the Federal Government. But Datti Ahmed is not doing it in the right and logical way. Saying that an Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso ticket would struggle to win support in Northern Nigeria because of past campaign controversies, such as mosque demolitions and leaked audio, is probably one of the worst arguments someone of his own standing could advance. Why? Because he has used his own mouth to defend these same allegations as false and baseless before now. How I wish Datti Ahmed had won an election before now. I would understand when he talks about what it takes to win an election, but he has never done that. The closest was when he contested for a senatorial position and was later kicked out by the Court of Appeal over allegations of irregularities surrounding the conduct of the election. This is a man Peter Obi considered worthy of being his running mate in 2023, yet he struggled to secure support even in his own polling unit. So, what right does he have to talk about Kwankwaso's choice of candidate, a man who has almost held every position of importance in Nigeria? By the way, Datti Ahmed also has a presidential candidate in Donald Duke. I believe that if he were considered to be of such high political value, Donald Duke could have chosen him as a running mate. But who will choose a man who, in his estimation, adds nothing and brings nothing to a race? My advice to Datti Ahmed remains simple: if you must disagree with Peter Obi, do so with facts, logic and consistency. You don't need to contradict your own previous position just to make a political argument. I am Ekene Aninze, Esq.

I have always been fascinated by a particular breed of African politicians in Europe who seem to have made it their life’s ambition to be more British than the British, more French than the French, and more hostile to Africans and immigrants than the most rabid nationalists in their adopted political circles. You find them in Britain, France, Belgium and across Europe, particularly in countries that once colonized Africa. Many are the children of African immigrants, sometimes the first generation born in Europe, whose parents arrived in those countries as foreigners. Yet their children have somehow developed an almost religious devotion to the most reactionary interpretations of European nationalism. They speak about immigration as though their own parents descended from the heavens with citizenship certificates in their hands. And I am not talking about Africans who happen to be conservative. I am talking about those who appear determined to prove their loyalty to their political constituencies by expressing a degree of contempt for immigrants, Africans and their own ancestral history that would embarrass even some European conservatives. The irony would be hilarious if its consequences were not so serious. Because these politicians occupy a particularly convenient position in the racial politics of Europe. Their African ancestry gives certain political movements an opportunity to present deeply contested positions on immigration, race and colonial history through someone whose very presence is then offered as proof that racism could not possibly be involved. It is the political equivalent of the racist who insists that he cannot be racist because he once dated a Black woman. Except that this time, instead of producing a Black girlfriend, they produce a Black politician with an African surname and a spectacular appetite for defending their ideological prejudices. What particularly disgusts me is the historical revisionism that sometimes accompanies this performance. Imagine being so desperate to demonstrate your European patriotism that you begin defending an imperial history whose victims included people who looked like your grandparents. And for what? To prove that you are sufficiently British? Sufficiently French? That your African ancestry has been politically disinfected to the satisfaction of your audience? I find this obsession with proving oneself more authentically European than Europeans themselves intellectually fascinating and morally disturbing. This is the context in which I examine Kemi Badenoch’s politics. Badenoch is entitled to her conservative convictions, just as anyone else is entitled to challenge them. But her Nigerian heritage does not make her interpretation of British colonial history more credible, nor does it make her positions on race and immigration immune from criticism.
