I remember for years since the 4th grade I would tell all my classmates I’m going to Africa and everyone was so excited for me. I didn’t end up going until 6th grade but I was so proud of my lineage and they were happy for me too.

so a young Ghanaian boy was bullied in the Bronx and he was eventually shot and killed. literally was such a quiet kid and he came to America less than a year ago. His dad has been in America for the past 26 years. xenophobia is genuinely despicable. I’m sick to my stomach.
