We remember the first woman to be awarded a Nobel Prize, the first individual to be awarded two Nobel Prizes and still today the only individual with two Nobel Prizes in two different scientific categories: Marie Skłodowska Curie.
Curie was born #OnThisDay in 1867.

Menopause research has historically been underfunded and understudied, despite its enormous impact on half of the human population and nearly 40% of a woman’s lifespan.
Researchers in a new #ScienceReview argue that menopause research needs a major rethink, shifting from a one-size-fits-all view of the transition to a precision medicine approach that accounts for differences in symptoms, timing, genetics and hormone treatments.

I just found out that Sir Patrick Stewart has died.
Here is a video he made on the advice he would give to his younger self.
RIP

Patrick was one of those icons who we somehow all took for granted would always be with us.
I grew up as a fan, and was later gifted the privilege of becoming a colleague and friend, working with him for many years on “American Dad!”, “Family Guy”, and “Ted”. He was that rare actor who could take any bit of dialogue and elevate it, making a good writer sound great, and a great writer sound masterful. He was also as humble as they come. I remember exchanging emails with him a number of years ago when he was beginning day 1 of a new film. He commented to me that he always walked onto a new set feeling like the biggest novice there. My stunned reaction was the same as anyone’s would be. I said, “Patrick, if you feel that way, the rest of us are screwed.” We have lost a legendary actor today, and for many of us, a good friend. He will be deeply missed by the entire planet.

Constipation is one of the most common and frustrating symptoms of Parkinson’s disease, and it can begin years before the first tremor or any other manifestation. Join me and nutrition expert Emily Truscott as we head into the grocery store to explore foods that may help improve digestion and bowel regularity. We discuss practical choices, including kiwi fruit and other fiber-rich foods, and how simple changes in your shopping cart may make a meaningful difference. Constipation in Parkinson’s is more than an inconvenience. It can affect comfort, quality of life, and even medication absorption. Our goal is to help you make informed, practical food choices that support better gut health and everyday living with Parkinson’s.
