Structural Marxism of the 1960s and humanist Marxism are two major 20th-century theoretical approaches that offer opposing answers to...no wonder I'm Grouchy.

Palantir is Peter Thiel. Peter Thiel and Alex Karp...and the other Tech Lords...and the Trump government, its agencies, maybe Israel, and others? - will have Australians' data, Australia - who thinks this is a terrific policy? 😳 1/2 #auspol #politas
Home Affairs is negotiating to share Australians’ data with Trump’s US government. Did they tell the US it can’t go to Palantir? Doesn't sound like it from this!

Analysts have been surprised that the closure of the Strait of Hormuz has not had even worse effects on the world economic. Octopus chief @g__j says this is because China has greatly reduced its oil use, through green energy and electric cars. inews.co.uk/opinion/britains…

Exactly what we need in the absence of a functioning U.S. Department of Justice. An organization of ex-prosecutors and investigators who help can put cases together for current and future prosecutors who will restore accountability for corrupt federal officials and those who benefit from that corruption.
We are facing a crisis of impunity. That's why we built The Rule of Law Project — to investigate unlawful conduct by federal officials, and work with state and local prosecutors to hold them to account. Watch former DOJ prosecutor Mark Blumberg and human rights leader Brad Adams launch this critical accountability initiative on MSNOW with Nicolle Wallace.

The UN Special Rapporteur on violence against women and girls has backed in my bills to end shackling of people giving birth and children being strip searched. The UN have condemned the Albanese government for blocking them. The Prime Minister needs to step up and stop this violence. This Labor government is happy to pat themselves on the back for signing up to UN agreements, but they do nothing to actually implement them. It’s just performative. abc.net.au/news/2026-10-27/u…

Russell Brand’s trial is devastating. Testimony describes him as a rabid animal, demanding sex every few hours from whoever happened to be around, and taking it regardless of consent Brand’s defense is that women knew he was a degenerate maniac, so they should have expected it by being in a room with him (several allege he attacked them in public and tried to drag them into bathroom stalls) This is separate from FIVE disturbing allegations in Channel 4 Dispatches. Brand has zero regard for women as human beings - I can’t even imagine how many victims there truly are Blows my mind that so many people peddle his lunacy portraying him as a truth-telling martyr being smeared by the establishment - and buy his newfound religious hucksterism Makes sense he’s leapt into the movement of sexual offenders and pedophiles, where he belongs (other than prison)

Outsiders sometimes assume that morning commuters in Tokyo are cold strangers who only stare at their phones and never get involved. At 9:15 a.m. on July 22, 2013, at Minami-Urawa Station north of Tokyo, a woman in her thirties slipped and fell waist-deep into the eight-inch gap between the concrete platform and a thirty-two-ton steel train car. She was pinned tight against the undercarriage, and the train could not move an inch without crushing her. Modern Japanese commuter trains rest on pneumatic air-spring suspension bogies designed to tilt slightly when weight shifts. The moment a station attendant blew his whistle and called for help, passengers inside the car immediately stepped off to remove ten tons of human weight. Then forty strangers in business suits and summer shirts lined up shoulder to shoulder along the platform edge. Without knowing each other's names, they pressed their bare hands high against the stainless-steel wall and pushed together on a single count. The thirty-two-ton train car tilted backward on its springs by several inches, and attendants pulled the woman out without a single scratch. The crowd clapped once, stepped back onto the train, and rode to work just eight minutes behind schedule. That is what a high-trust society looks like when a stranger is in trouble.

As Americans worry about affording groceries, this is what Trump tells Texans: “You could even come to Mar-a-Lago… The problem is that for $5,000, the most you’ll be able to buy is a hamburger and maybe a small dessert. I’m not even sure you could buy that.” VOTE ACCORDINGLY.

Tassie, who has a wage over 1 million dollars? #auspol #politas
The Future Fund Management Agency appeared, saying that there were 17 people who had a wage of over a million dollars. Nobody else in the APS gets that wage, but they say that they are very special so it’s what they should be paid. As they were due to go on, an unknown commentator who didn’t know they were being recorded was saying ‘all these people. Such a waste of time.’ Interesting. Answering questions from Senators about taxpayer money is a waste of time. Noted.

At 11, Michael Chen fled Vietnam with his parents and six siblings. After years in refugee camps, he built a career that brought him to UNICEF USA-the organization that helped him as a child. Returning to Vietnam this year, he reflected on a decision he now understands as a father himself.
One day, when Michael Chen was 11, his parents told him to pack a small bag. That night, his family fled Vietnam on a fishing boat with about 300 others.

In the United States, buying an egg salad sandwich from a convenience store or gas station at midnight is a gamble with your digestive system. In Japan, a two-dollar 7-Eleven egg salad sandwich is a culinary religious experience that late chef Anthony Bourdain famously called pillows of love. Why does a humble convenience store sandwich in Tokyo taste better than a fifteen-dollar cafe lunch in New York? It comes down to two obsessions: agricultural engineering and thermal logistics. First, Japanese convenience chains do not use pale, industrial powdered eggs. They use farm eggs from hens fed marigold-enriched diets that produce deep sunset-orange yolks, whipped with yolk-only Kewpie mayonnaise and tucked inside crustless Shokupan milk bread that is steamed and kneaded to stay cloud-soft. Second, those sandwiches do not sit on a frigid shelf for four days. Delivery trucks restock Japanese convenience stores three to four times a day using dedicated temperature zones, keeping bread in mildly cooled compartments so refrigerator chill never hardens the wheat starch.
