A short NYSC story 🧵
I almost got sent home on Day 1 of camp.
I’d travelled 9 hours with one bag and one dream. At the registration gate, the officer looked at me and said: “Where is your call-up letter?”
Tobi is now my best friend. Chinedu is now my roommate’s boyfriend.
All of it started because of one wrong bag at one gate.
Camp doesn’t just give you a certificate. It gives you your people. 🇳🇬
Question: who was the first person you made friends with in camp? 👇
Reply, tag them, and tell us how you met.
That’s why we’re building NYSC connect on the Econnect app: so you can meet your camp mates before you even arrive camp.

Nobody tells you that university isn’t just about passing exams. It’s about finding information, finding opportunities, finding people (even finding customers if you run a business in school), finding your way. I think students deserve better. What do you think?
The idea that rings should be used for wedding was a marketing tactic to sell rings; same thing as cakes.
An apple a day keeps the doctor away is an advert to sell apples. It’s not actually keeping any doctor away; if you’d fall sick, you would.
A lot of things that are now norms started because some people thought of how they could make more people pay for what they sell by all means. What strategy are you using for your business?

How old were you when you discovered that they use the word “Chancellor” for University chancellor and vice chancellors because they have the power and right to chance every other staff of the university?

On this day 7 years ago, it was a Monday and I resumed for second semester as a 200 level student of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko (AAUA), Ondo State. Earlier this historic day at exactly 12 midnight, I had started what people now refer to as a “WhatsApp Tv”.
