Zelensky’s Oval Office ambush was predicted by State Duma member Oleg Morozov on 60 Minutes, a state TV show. Morozov said that the meeting would be a lesson in humiliation, designed to condition Zelensky to capitulate to the United States—and later to Russia. The lawmaker said that the Ukrainian president was flying to America “to sign an act of capitulation,” referring to the rare earth mineral deal Trump was determined to get as a “payback” for previous aid to Ukraine. Describing Trump as Zelensky’s “Daddy,” Morozov predicted, “They will rub his nose into everything, like a messy puppy… Then he will sign whatever he is told to sign.” Host Evgeny Popov chimed in, “But first, Daddy will flog him.”

Because of the irresponsible fiscal decisions of Republicans over 16 years, there is no way that TN could afford to handle a major disaster on its own absent more major cuts to essential services like public education, transportation and social services.

BREAKING: Netanyahu could lose tomorrow's election and remain prime minister anyway, with Trump backing a unity government that would keep him in power alongside Gadi Eisenkot, an outcome his camp is pushing vigorously and has a sympathetic ear in Trump, per WaPo.
In conversations with US officials, Netanyahu has argued that he is the best Israeli partner to help resume the war against Iran.

Pete Hegseth is looking for a career change. The disgraced Secretary of Defense is reportedly pushing Sen. Marsha Blackburn to appoint him to her Tennessee Senate seat if she wins the governor’s race.
Why the sudden exit plan? Hegseth is terrified that Democrats will impeach him once they’re back in power because of his disastrous tenure at the Pentagon. You know what they say: when the walls start closing in, cowards look for the nearest door. So much for that “warrior ethos” he loves to rant about.

Comey's attorney Pat Fitzgerald issues a new statement after he was charged again:
"For the third time in little more than one year, the Department of Justice has attempted to charge Mr. Comey with a federal crime. Mr. Comey steadfastly maintains his innocence.
In September 2025, the Department of Justice used a person who was not actually a United States Attorney to seek an Indictment that was not actually shown to the grand jury. And it charged Mr. Comey with crimes that he did not commit. That case was promptly and properly dismissed.
In April 2026, the Department of Justice filed charges in the Eastern District of North Carolina concerning Mr. Comey’s posting of a photograph of seashells spelling '8647.'"
We will not comment beyond our filings in that case.
This most recent case involves an October 5, 2016 New York Times article that two different teams of prosecutors investigated during the first Trump administration. Both times the Government determined that no charges should be brought against anyone. Now, ten years after the article was published, the Government filed an 'Information' against Mr. Comey that was not approved by a judge nor issued by a grand jury. It purports to charge Mr. Comey with crimes that he did not commit.
We are gratified that United States District Judge Trevor McFadden has ordered this matter unsealed. Mr. Comey will fight these charges vigorously and in the open."
