*Empowering Fisherfolks, Augmenting Livelihoods!*
Under the *Enhancing Climate Resilience of Indias Coastal Communities (ECRICC) Project* 70-litre capacity iceboxes have been distributed to 700 Fishermen Households across four coastal blocks of Puri District to help in enhancing fish preservation, maintain freshness, reduce post-harvest losses, and strengthen their bargaining power for better market prices. 🧊🐠🤝

Strengthening coastal livelihoods and advancing the Blue Economy!
Under the #ECRICC Project in Ganjam, 120 households across six coastal villages received insulated ice boxes to promote fish value addition and strengthen climate-resilient livelihoods. Two women ornamental fisheries entrepreneurs also received ₹64,964 as the first instalment of Grant-in-Aid to support their enterprises.
The programme was attended by Hon’ble MLA, Chhatrapur, Shri Krushna Chandra Nayak; Collector & District Magistrate, Ganjam, Shri Keerthi Vasan V, IAS; and other senior officials.
Promoting better fish preservation, reducing post-harvest losses and supporting sustainable coastal livelihoods for a stronger #BlueEconomy.

SPD Shri @Prem_CWLWOdisha inaugurated a one-day workshop on the Adaptive Management Plan, organised by SPMU #Odisha.
The workshop facilitated discussions with districts and other stakeholders, including FNGO representatives, on planned activities & implementation strategies.
DPMU #Puri hosted Principal Secy,Dept. of Fisheries, #TamilNadu, Ms Anu George, along with @MPEDACOCHIN Regional team, District Fisheries Officer, Puri, officials from @FisheriesGoI & @OdishaFisheries.

Through a rally, plantation drive, essay contest & awareness meeting, students learned the value of forests, biodiversity and conservation.
