This picture broke our hearts! 💔🇮🇷 Ramin Rezaeian scored the equalizer and won the Man of the Match award... but it wasn't enough. After the final whistle, he couldn't hold back his tears. Iran was seconds away from qualifying, but a last-minute winning goal was disallowed. The image of Ramin accepting the award with tears in his eyes says it all. It captures the pain of a team that fought not only on the pitch but off it as well. While other teams participated in the World Cup as usual, Iran had to train in Mexico and travel to the United States on match day. A very complicated situation that severely hampered their participation. This was so much more than just a football match. All our respect to you, Iran. 🇮🇷❤️
