NTV senior journalist @Solomon_Kaweesa, in partnership with Matayo Foundation, has organised a charity dinner to raise funds for the construction of a centre providing essential services to people living with albinism. Kaweesa said the proposed centre would offer specialised hair care, sunscreen products and makeup services tailored to the needs of people with albinism. He said the facility would also help challenge harmful myths and superstitions that have contributed to the exploitation and discrimination of people with albinism. Dubbed the “Discover Solomon Kaweesa Dinner,” the fundraising event will take place on November 27, 2026, at Pope Paul VI Memorial Hotel in Ndeeba.

My sincere condolences 💐
With a heart weighed down by grief, I announce the passing of my dear mother, Rose Nantongo Kirabo.
There are losses for which language offers no refuge. Today, I have lost the woman whose love gave me my first understanding of life.
My deepest gratitude goes to the dedicated doctors and medical team at the Uganda Cancer Institute for the compassion, dignity and care extended to Mama in her final days.
Funeral arrangements will be communicated in due course.
