On Wednesday, EM/E members were at the MN State Capitol to meet with Edina’s State Senators and Reps about how they can best support public schools and educators.
Thank you to Senators Mann and Latz and Reps Greene and Kraft for taking time to listen.
February is Black History Month.
Education Minnesota/Edina honors Black excellence and celebrates Black educators, past and present.

EME members attended the @EducationMN Political Conference this weekend to learn about getting out the vote for the midterm elections.
It’ll be all hands on deck to elect leaders who support public education! Stay tuned for ways to get involved! #EdMNVotes #GOTV
Today, EM/E stands in solidarity with locals across the state that do not yet have settled contracts. EM/E educators from Normandale and Creek Valley, along with the rest of our membership, know that #UnitedWeWin

NOW IS THE TIME! We call on @GovTimWalz and legislative leaders @melissahortman and @KariDziedzic NOT to adjourn until teacher pension reform is addressed. #mnleg #fairpensionsnow
The Legislature may adjourn early, and we need to let them know they cannot go home without addressing pension reform.
Join teachers from around the State at 6:30 p.m. this Tuesday to march for fair pensions on the Capitol grounds!

Governor Walz shows up for us - he understands what it takes to keep this profession alive.
He took the time to meet with pension leaders at the RC before he took the stage, to hear directly about the immediate need for fair pension reform. #edmnrc @GovTimWalz
