Cities like #AddisAbaba need to urgently address water access issues. Hard infrastructure needs to be financed and built NOW - the alternatives are dire, for development and especially for the poorest. The banality of #WASH inequalities and health impacts must end. #RightToWater?
#WeAspire's water supply experts have weighed in delivering this much anticipated policy paper addressing the chronic water supply issues including solutions. Download your copy today at weaspire.info

It was a pleasure to take part in this session. The two ministers spoke about impressive funding and support they are giving to Flanders through the #BlueDeal. I was super impressed by their action orientation. 1/2
💡 Moving from #systemicthinking to practice requires an actionable co-creation approach for building pathways to connect all aspects of #sustainabledevelopment: from #water to #energy, #food, #youthempowerment, #digitalization and #sustainablecities. @tudelft @salesforce @VMMbe
I emphasised the need for connecting nexus approaches with infrastructure planning in practice and the role maximising the economic value of shared water resources can play in enlarging cooperative spaces. epicafrica.eu #water #energy #infrastructureplanning #clews 2/2

In a packed conference room at the UN HQ. I am looking forward to hearing how $30 billion/year will be raised and what kind of partnerships and development it will fund. Will most of it find its way to making an impact in Sub Saharan Africa?

“We keep our polders dry by pumping excess rainwater to sea. If we temporarily store it in our water system, we can delay this until renewable energy is available. This helps balancing the grid, and we can use cheaper electricity.” bit.ly/3D8Vdo3 #TUDelft180
