Dear RPD and residency interviewers, Please schedule breaks during the interview. Sincerely, someone who drinks a lot of water and is to embarrassed to ask to use the restroom
And just like that the residency showcase is done! Very thankful for all the amazing programs and people I got to speak to today. I have a lot to think about but all I know is that pharmacy is such a wonderful profession and everyone is so amazing 🤩 #ASHP20
Another rotation in the books! Only 2 more until PharmD 😳. Now time to focus on residency applications. Wish me luck!
Sad to say today was the last day of my longitudinal APPE rotation @The_BMC. So thankful for all the amazing people and experiences during the past 5 months. Now onto my next adventure! 💊
Hey #TwitteRx I am starting an ICU rotation next week. Any advice or tips for success? Much appreciated!

They don’t encourage dangerous behavior. They reduce harm.
Consider coinfection of Lyme with HGA if the patient has a higher grade fever for >48hours after starting treatment or has unexplained leukopenia, thrombocytopenia, or anemia. If coinfection is not a concern, other options for Lyme include amoxicillin or cefuroxime 2/2 #TwitterRx
Doxycycline is often the agent of choice for Lyme disease because it is also effective against Human granulocytic anaplasmosis (HGA), another tick-borne illness that can be transmitted by Ixodes scapularis and Ixodes pacificus (the SAME tick that transmits Lyme) 1/2 🕷️
When thinking about C. difficle, we often associate it with the use of clindamycin and fluoroquinolones. However, third and fourth generation cephalosporins are also major risk factors. De-escalating antibiotic therapy is important for stewardship, but also for C. diff #TwitterRx
Finally decided to join the #TwitterRx bandwagon! Looking forward to meeting new people and learning new things. Tweets to come soon! 💊
