What a great day we had today @MountOusley ! We harvested, packaged, advertised and sold organic produce from our garden. Cross curricula learning at its best! #outdoorlearning @TiffanySinton @tonialgray
Reflecting on our holidays and how we showed some of our #LearningDispositions through the activities. Wow! - lots of grit & determination to challenge ourselves camping, walking around the zoo & EasterShow, roller skating & swimming. #4Cs @MountOusley #OralLanguage
We read Mirror by Jeannie Baker. Our young authors have been editing & enhancing their own texts to tell the story of her collages. So proud of how their digital books are going! Created on @BookCreatorApp & #iPads

So excited by these charcoal and graphite dust hills by our young artists - inspired by The Flower. Here are some more.

More charcoal and graphite dust hills by our young artists - inspired by The Flower.
@MountOusley
We read The Flower by John Light, illustrated by Lisa Evans. Our young artists loved the moody illustrations and recreated the dust hills outside the city with graphite & charcoal.
@MountOusley
We read Florette by Anna Walker. We imagined how it felt to move to a city apartment without a garden. Our young artists used watercolour & ink to create their own lush gardens that could surprise you in the middle of a drab city.
@MountOusley
We read Mirror by Jeannie Baker. Our young linguistic inquirers investigated adjectives, prepositional phrases & interesting sentence beginnings to write our own text for her collages. Then we created our own digital books with @BookCreatorApp & #iPads.

Whole school. Every class. Every K-6 student!
Our young innovators designed & constructed their own MarioKart-inspired track over a week then held exciting Dash robot races over a 2nd week.
