Trying to address the misinformation surrounding EFC’s PSR breach and our finances, and other random opinions

TFG are our owners for now - they’ve partly addressed some of our funding issues - they seem to realise it’s best to try and employ the best CEO & Manager you can and then leave them to do their job -they will use every accounting trick they can

Rayan & George both joined last January 1st game Rayan 23 mins as sub. Assist George 22 mins as sub. 2nd game Rayan started scored George started didn’t score Rayan started the 3rd Because the manager was brave or the player made a big impact?

Brighton had Gomez and Ayari in their attack on Sunday. Bournemouth threw Rayan straight in. Again, it doesn't have to be every game, but one game, because those players suited what was required?

“Parading a sample size of 8 games” Also known as referring to the league table.
Other people have the problem of being dramatic, twisting stats, and trying to drive a certain narrative; while you're parading a sample size of 8 games as to why it's all great, when you can go up or down about 5-9 places in a week 😂

Arsenal used 4 <27 year olds on Saturday We used 10
Moyes doesn’t want sustainable, smart recruitment either, though. He wants 27 year olds with PL experience who are good at one particular thing.

Sold because we have enough midfielders & it has given more opportunity for Armstrong.
Sold for buttons to make the books look better for club sale

The manager has used every outfield player in the league Current 18 plus 3 that have departed (Plus 2 other departed players in the cup) So he hasn’t refused to use any of them
A tiny squad, a chunk of which the manager refuses to use or give a chance to despite consistent poor performances from players that don’t offer enough to be staying on, dismal subs, defensive tactics yet poor defensively…

#FPL Set-Piece monsters. A few things about this graph: Gabriel is still worth his price, especially in a season where every premium apart from Haaland seems washed. Murillo is the ultimate what-if FPL asset. The guy has the most ridiculous collection of goals that almost went in, good DEFCON potential and a threat from both open play and set play. The defenders who get rewarded for being proactive through DEFCON are largely the same ones who get rewarded for their attacking threat. Proactive defenders tend to be proactive in all phases of the game. I still think the new scoring mechanics won't necessarily make players pool bigger, but they will make the meta clearer. Muharemovic's chances are meh, but with the way Leeds' routines are working, being their top receiver is still a good sign. Gabriel doesn't offer a huge direct threat, but Arsenal's set-piece phases are among the longest and most creative ones, so that's worth taking into consideration. Haaland is still proof that quality over volume works.

Interesting stats Can see how clubs with 10 points after 8 games have performed in the past Hint: probably not sleepwalking.
Post Ipswich thoughts here 👇 #nffc - Control but not conviction - A look at the history of teams who have 6 pts from 8 games - Other than that it’s mostly ramblings and questions without answers danscape.substack.com/p/fore…

Love to see the manager that manages a whole squad’s minutes perfectly.

It’s a fair point, minutes managed aren’t perfect for them, but still fair point That was my hope from the window in that despite disappointment, hopefully you still gain from really having to get these players playing

Started 40 Sub 27 Unused sub 1 Is that really worth criticising?

He used to have Wayne Rooney on the bench let’s not forget that he used to youse Rooney as a sub all the time the greatest youngster England has ever produced so what chance have these kids got an Rooney was are best player at 16

HA is a good example of earning the shirt though. Regardless of age he’s come in & competed physically & mentally so deserved his run. It will come to an end undoubtedly & then he’ll go again

Love to win on Thursday It’s a cup we’ve never won, even with really good squads & the team flying. To label it “crucial” is clearly ridiculous

Transfermkt for Eze & Olise show a very different story
If Moyes had signed Morgan Rogers from Middlesbrough he'd still have him on the bench for him to learn from Brennan Johnson Top championship players like Eze, Olise, Wharton, go straight into the 1st team. Ours have to get splinters in their backside for a season

And those that last year said they’d take a year of being off it to see younger players develop - well Rohl, Armstrong, George all getting minutes. Dibling coming on too. That’s what people wanted wasn’t it?

Lose to Chelsea & Arsenal & my timeline is full of hyperbolic nonsense about us being a relegation threatened team, or ‘cowardly’! Seriously? We are an average side with some decent players. On a good day a match for anyone, on a bad one we can be shocking. Just be fans!

Not everyone thinks we’ve had an easy schedule.

Think only 1 of these lost On form keeper makes a big difference.
Zion Suzuki made more saves than any other player in the Premier League in GW8. 🧤
