What happened?
8 eMudhra Intermediate CA private keys were shockingly weak:
4, 56, 66, 115, 155, 156, 230, 237
Instead of being securely generated within a ~2³⁸⁴ keyspace, they could be recovered in under a second.
This potentially allowed attackers to forge trusted HTTPS certificates for virtually any domain on vulnerable clients, under certain conditions.
P.S.: If you use CLI tools, update your CA bundles too.
