An intense band of rain/snow will move into western portions of the area tonight. This band will last for 2-3 hours and could quickly transition from rain to snow in western valleys. Travel over Teton and Togwotee Passes will be difficult as this band of snow moves through. #wywx
The snow went right over me and started dumping once it crossed the Nebraska border. Live look at Mitchell.

We had folks in town from NE so we did the scenic tour. Went to Windsor for Ollie’s Malasadas & High Desert Chocolates, hit Cabelas in Loveland, then Breckenridge & New Belgium Breweries in FOCO before finally going to Poudre Canyon and home via 287 for breathtaking views.
Climbed a mountain and I turned around.
Went for a drive to the I-80 summit via Happy Jack and Vedauwoo Road then turned around and went through Table Mountain.

Sitting in the back yard watching the traffic on I-80 and maybe I am just getting old but I do not understand how so many people are driving at night over that pass. It is scary at noon on a sunny day. Ain’t no way I would do that drive in the dark.
It might be time to shut the windows again.
It’s windy today. The house got cold overnight but it was perfect for sleeping. I haven’t decided how cold is too cold to let it get but I think it’s getting close.

Cheyenne is quite pretty in the fall.
Temperatures are very comfortable most days once you get used to the cooler climate. The trees in town are really showing off, it looks like a painting. I hope to get trees planted at our house once i figure out what to plant.
