Here's what I think the issue is. When OP says "old internet", GenZ think it means 2000-2010. When it's likely referring to the 90s internet, before the millennium bug and the Y2K crash panic, a time period that most GenZ weren't born for, and the oldest weren't sentient for.

If you grew up with newgrounds, or any of those people on YouTube, then you grew up on an internet that my generation had already been using for at least 8-10 years, and had existed for longer than that still. Post Y2K internet was completely different.

It’s sad some clients believe they’ll annoy the artist if they recommission them again As someone who’s commissioned many artists and does commissions too, I’m telling you artists have no issues with reoccurring clients; infact it’s usually an honor for them most of the time
