“I’m always at your service”: leaked calls between Lavrov and Hungary’s FM
Recordings of conversations between Sergey Lavrov and Péter Szijjártó suggest the Hungarian minister was willing to advance Moscow’s interests within the EU.
In one call, Lavrov asks for sanctions on oligarch Alisher Usmanov’s sister to be lifted — Szijjártó responds that Hungary, together with Slovakia, is already preparing a proposal.
She was later removed from the EU sanctions list.
Before ending the call, Szijjártó also mentioned visiting Gazprom’s new headquarters and added: “I’m always at your service.”
According to European intelligence officials, the tone of the exchanges resembles that of a “handler and source” rather than two equal officials.
There have also been previous reports that Hungary shared details of closed EU discussions with Moscow.

I stand with Ukraine
Proud to live in a country (the Netherlands) that unconditionally supports Ukraine.
Europe needs to re-arm to support Ukraine, defend itself & democracy.
Ukraine is the one defending Europe from Russian aggression & should be part of EU.

You can't understand the damage done to Europe/US relations without watching the German Foreign Minister's speech today, essentially saying that the US has fallen to Russia.

Europe has no choice but to re-arm itself, and do it fast.
Ukraine’s reliable allies are the EU, UK, Norway and Canada.
US - Europe alliance never looked so fragile in 80 years - esp now that the US administration treats Russia more of an ally than Ukraine.
A seismic change

Three years ago, Russia launched a brutal and unprovoked invasion on Ukraine. They did not succeed taking the country thanks to heroic ongoing defending from Ukrainians.
The war on Ukraine is a war on Europe. I stand with Ukraine.
Time for Europe to step up its support.
Three years of resistance. Three years of gratitude. Three years of absolute heroism of Ukrainians. I am proud of Ukraine! I thank everyone who defends and supports it. Everyone who works for Ukraine. And may the memory of all those who gave their lives for our state and people be eternal. 🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦

‼️Saying "Navalny died" is wrong. "Navalny was killed by Putin" is the right way.
⚡️Aleksey Navalny has died in prison - Russian Federal Penitentiary Service.
They wrote:
"On 16.02.2024 in the correctional colony number 3, convict Navalny A.A. has felt unwell after a walk, and has lost consciousness almost immediately. The medical workers of the institution have arrived at once, an emergency medical brigade was summoned.
All the necessary resuscitation measures were carried out, but did not yield positive results. Emergency doctors confirmed the death of the convict,” the release said.
"Following the decision of Aleksey Navalny's family, I do not comment on anything at the moment. We are figuring it out. The lawyer visited Aleksey on Wednesday. Everything was all right then" - Navalny's lawyer Leonid Solovyev told Novaya Gazeta.
Putin kills and will continue murdering anyone he wants.

❗️The undermining of the Kakhovska HPP dam is not only one of the biggest ecological and humanitarian disasters in the east of Europe that led to the flooding of vast territories and many settlements, but is in fact the biggest crime against food security in the world.
The Kakhov reservoir was the heart of one of the largest irrigation systems in Europe. It was the southern regions of Ukraine that supplied the countries of the Middle East, Asia, Africa and Europe with wheat, corn, sunflower and sunflower oil, soybeans and soybean meal.
We call on everyone who cares about the fate of our planet and the environment, who declares their status as environmentalists and defines nature protection activities as their goals — to take all possible measures in order to record these violations, bring the culprits to justice, and make it impossible to commit such barbarism in the future.

I’ve been thinking about something over the past few days, time to share and get some reactions. I think how we all make and consume content - everywhere, including websites, movies, games, software and so on - is going to dramatically change in the near future. This will be a completely new context for how companies (and people) operate, everywhere, and I wanted to set out how I see the environment for Phrase and our customers could potentially evolve.
****
There was the Internet, then search, then mobile and social, and now we are at the start of another inflection point with AI. Language is at the heart of each of these inflection points, never more so than today. How people and companies use language to communicate, to transact, to work or play is going to be ever more important and dynamic.
Phrase is central to how the biggest brands in the world navigate language today, and in the next 5 years we see our role evolving to be more strategic than ever. We will provide the technological backbone that powers the localization ecosystem for companies, well beyond the boundaries of where localization sits today.
Already our customers tell us they want global employees to be able to localize information in real-time. In the future, companies will need to connect systems, easily configure them, analyze and automate quality, reliability, tone and content, all to enable a degree of collaboration way beyond what’s possible today.
Imagine a world where entertainment and commerce adapt language, tone and content in real-time to the user.
Today, despite how far we’ve come, language is relatively static: every visitor to a website, every viewer of a movie, every reader of content, every service agent in the field, every employee in your business, is consuming broadly the same content, localized once (hopefully!). Content, even localized, is not dynamic.
Tomorrow, content could be truly dynamic - every visitor, viewer, reader, agent and colleague might see or read contextualized, hyper-personalized content wherever and whenever they interact. Why should two potential customers see the same product description, if they have different buying criteria? Every website in the world could be rendered in real-time, based on the user; same for entertainment, software, and all content types. Perhaps in the past, true hyper-personalization would have been too expensive to be viable, but the advent of AI will make this possible.
This isn’t about a 10X or 100X order of magnitude change to how language is used in business: this is real-time rendering of the entire internet and all content, so every interaction with your content being in a different language presentation, in real-time. This is 10^9X explosion of language… The implications of this for businesses and creators of all types are profound.
And Phrase will help you navigate it. Because enterprises require many systems of record, content has its origins in many places, and it needs to be dis-assembled, checked, quality-controlled, regulated, re-assembled and monitored. Phrase will be the enterprise backbone that helps companies maximize the opportunities in the coming explosion of language.
Where can I get a Chris shirt for next year? #elixirconfeu #myelixirstatus
