An ode to the in-between.

The museum was beautiful, the weather was lovely, and my new qipao behaved wonderfully for the camera. I’d call that a good day!

I’m beginning to think I should wear green more often. Especially if it means matching the scenery this well! Now I just need to find more excuses to wear this qipao. 💚

Funny how some things never change: ten years ago, little me visited Suzhou and came home with a qipao. This time, I did exactly the same thing! 十年过去了,还是一样喜欢这里的园林和旗袍。感觉自己长大了好多,但有些小小的快乐真的一点都没变。🍀

And of course, I had to take my new qipao out for a little adventure! Visited Suzhou Museum and absolutely loved wandering around. 新旗袍的第一次出门就去了博物馆,感觉特别有意义!苏州真的处处都有惊喜。

I think there’s a quiet sort of courage in that, isn’t there? To have known heartbreak and still refuse to let it be the final word on love. Our world keeps growing beyond what we’ve lost, and with it comes the possibility of discovering a thousand more things worth loving.
The Egyptians got it wrong because the most significant thing we could do in our life is not dying, but to believe even in the slightest fragment of love despite all the heartbreaks that ever made us doubt ourselves. Because love, once again, is within the core of our being

After attending the 2026 Vogue Forces of Fashion 2026 in Suzhou, Jiangsu, Eileen Gu visited Suzhou Museum in her new qipao. The elegance of traditional Chinese attire, her graceful silhouette, and the museum's striking architectural lines — a perfect combination!

I said white reminds me of a blank canvas because there’s always room to become something new. Funny how that interview went from skiing and academics to Dior couture and my childhood qipao. I guess that’s exactly my point! 人生有无限可能。 🪷

Once, this was only an idea in someone’s imagination. Perhaps a few lines on paper, a little inspiration from nature, and a dream of making flowers move. Now here it is, all ruffles and petals, with a story of its own. What a lovely thing to be part of.

The garden had plenty of flowers already, but I thought one more couldn’t possibly hurt. Especially one who has a little too much fun posing for the camera! 💋

I’d like to say I spent the evening quietly admiring the scenery, but the photographic evidence suggests otherwise. In my defence, it’s difficult to remain composed when you’re dressed like a little piece of spring and the garden seems more than happy to play along.

I wonder if the flowers knew they’d be dancing beneath the stars. Suzhou was all golden reflections and evening air, and there I was, wearing a little piece of Dior’s imagination. A beautiful chapter with Vogue Forces of Fashion, tucked away among my favorite memories.
