Arteta is my favourite manager ever and he's not even a manager yet

Load of Chelsea fans on my train "Arsenal win again like every week, set pieces again, bunch of boring dickheads" Fucking delicious. It's been far too long since I've got to enjoy the set pieces tears

I see a lot of United fans use our slow rise under Arteta as the benchmark for their last few managers but so far none have had the minerals or backing to transform their club like Arteta did. If Carrick has any of Arteta in him he has to be brave enough to drop Bruno now.

I disagree with Simon more than I agree with him but the way he debated people at least used to he interesting and generally balanced. Now he's just saying any pointless Incoherent shit just for the sake of disagreeing.
🦅 PETA: "You shouldn't have a bald eagle at a stadium!" ❌ Simon: "So you're wishing it out of existence now!?" Simon Jordan clashes with PETA spokesperson who wants #CPFC to ditch their eagle mascot! 🦅❌

Gyokeres deserves criticism too but a legitimate problem that people wrongly go at him for is that he plays the game at a higher tempo than the team tends to want to play at and the ironic truth is most fans would rather we played at Gyok's tempo anyway

It's actually worse than voting for it. They voted against it until they had enough time to cheat their way to the financial position they wanted and then they voted for it.
Sick of hearing “city voted for it” No, no they didn’t. Why don’t people fact check before talking about it all on podcasts. If you don’t know, just say I don’t know 🤷🏼‍♂️

The fact there are fans quote tweeting this as if the rules forcing teams to make less of a loss is contributing to the fact teams are struggling to make money is a true litmus test for basic intelligence on this app. It's like blaming drink driving laws for drunk drivers.
BREAKING: Football regulators have reported that 94% of English clubs are loss-making. Sky's @RobHarris has the latest and explains the importance of the report's timing ⬇️

The problem isn't that clubs like Newcastle/Villa can't compete with their owners, the problem is they don't feel like they should have to take the time to build the infastructure for it to have any chance to be sustainable if they decide to fuck off at some point.
🚨 Joe Cole: 🎙 "If your the establishment, Liverpool, Arsenal, Utd, Chelsea etc.. the other clubs don't have capacity to compete." 😡 "So are we to go another fifty years only seeing Arsenal, Utd, Liverpool winning.. Rules need to be changed so others can compete" 👏 #ManCity

The rules certainly aren't perfect and should be amended, but the idea that we should allow venture capitalists/oil states free reign to sportswash/use clubs as their little vanity project and potentially fuck off when they get bored again is for the birds.

That first point is exactly why states should be outlawed from owning clubs

They were cooking the books while Arsene Wenger had to play Emmanuel Frimpong in midfield. No punishment can take away the pain.

Btw Gyokores has a better goalscoring frequency for Sweden than Zlatan and Isak. People think this guy is completely useless and that is a complete lie.

Roberto Mancini publicly outing City for their double contract is another glorious moment. I mean, it is only further confirmation of what has been said for years. Both of Mancini’s deals were authorised & signed on the same day by the same person. City’s Head of Finance (Andrew Widdowson) arranged for Abu Dhabi to pay for the Al Jazira agreement. Mancini’s agent emailed City’s COO (Graham Wallace) asking for the Al Jazira invoice to be paid. Wallace emailed Widdowson asking to for Abu Dhabi to pay. And there is no reason whatsoever for anyone at City to be involved if it was a legitimate deal. There's no doubt the guilt here, or anywhere else for that matter. Yet their fans will believe whatever they're told to, because they are living proof sportswashing works.
Roberto Mancini: “I don’t think #ManCity were found guilty, quite the opposite. It’s not a problem that concerns me, and it isn’t anything new. @ManCity are not guilty, and on the double contract it isn’t my problem, theirs if anything…” [via @cmdotcom/@footballitalia]

The reaction of City fans/former players shows exactly why any punishment against City has to stop anyone else from doing the same. Rodri is right in the sense that football is about moments/memories. No-one cares about redistributed titles if there isn't a memory to go with it.
🚨 Rodri on Manchester City charges: “What we did, they cannot take it out of us. It's something that is not paid by money”. “It's paid with effort, with partnership, with being shoulder to shoulder every day…”. @BeanymanSports 🎥

City fans are acting like they're the biggest club in the league when they're not even the biggest club Manchester
4 Reasons why City can't be relegated 1. Billions of people will stop watching the Premier League and switch to the Championship just to watch City play. 2. The Premier League will lose relevance because people will lose interest in it. 3. The Premier League won't be able to compete in Europe properly, because we were the ones giving them PR on the biggest stage. 4. The Premier League will lose billions in revenue because City has one of the strongest fanbases in Europe. So if you're thinking Man City should be relegated, I'm sorry 😂. The Premier League can't risk all this.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
There are not billions of viewers in the first place. Let alone for one club. Estimates around 1.87 billion viewers worldwide. winsportsonline.com/research/footb…

Neither striker is perfect but we don't help them tbh. Kai is a great foil but he'll never be a real finisher and the lack of goals around him compounds that. Gyok is a great finisher but lack of quick final pass limits his chances and compounds his lack of foil play.
Viktor Gyokeres does not have a catalog of missed chances like this 😭 Havertz misses when nobody is on him. That’s worse.

The interesting food for thought here is that they generally have good moments combining with eachother because they cover some of each others weaknesses.
