Not sure if I'm "allowed" to share this, but here it goes:
When I first saw the internal plans and ideas around Disney Pinnacle by @dapperlabs, I was skeptical.
It just didn't make sense to me ๐คท
I'd never heard of the physical Disney Pins, and hadn't been to the parks much. I thought it was kinda odd. Why Pins?
Then I went to Disney.
I saw the rows and shelves of Pins in every area of the park. I saw the crowds gathering to trade with each other. I saw countless people walking around rocking the Pins to show off the characters they grew up watching. I saw people obsess over the tiniest details and get excited by a rare Pin.
I was hooked, jumping in the queue, buying Dumbo Pins, stoked to own something I didn't even know about the day before. There I was, stacking Pins and loving it.
I messaged @Alanfalcon the next day telling him that @DisneyPinnacle was an incredible idea and all my skepticism was from ignorance of the community and intrinsic fun around Disney Pins. He held back on the "I told you so" ๐
Now imagine that community being able to collect on mobile, from anywhere in the world, and with true insight into mint counts, rarity, sales history, provenance, etc. That's @DisneyPinnacle.
The Pin Hunter community has been super welcoming and friendly, making me absolutely love the experience. From stacking @DPIN_Official for general exposure, to hand picking my favourites during Marketplace events, or frantically checking the revolving storefront every 4 hours to see what I can get.
It went from a "I'm super skeptical of this" to "This is my favourite app." Just by stepping in and trying it out.
If you haven't yet, sign up to @DisneyPinnacle and give the magic a try. I have a feeling you'll absolutely love it โจ

That's odd, my @NBATopShot collection does not require grading as it cannot degrade.
Thus I am not forced to pay money to hire a 3rd party service to tell me the grading level of my cards.
Oh, plus the theft part where these collectors may have just lost everything.
Huh....
JUST IN: Police have confirmed more than 200 packages filled with PSA-graded cards valued at nearly $1 million were stolen from a FedEx truck.
Value is expected to rise as more packages are investigated.

NFTs are an area of crypto that i think deserves another look
the 2021 boom and subsequent crash left a lot of people with a negative view of them, but the underlying concept still makes sense to me
as more businesses move onchain, NFTs could become a useful way to represent ownership, experiment with revenue sharing and build communities around products
i expect there's still a lot of room for experimentation beyond the NFT models we saw last cycle

I have been getting hundreds of DM's (that isn't true, I haven't gotten any about this) asking about my plans for Coffee With Coultin as we move into a new NBA season! As I have recorded 155 episodes since September, 2025; here are my goals/plans for the next 155 episodes of Coffee With Coultin! In addition to the regular @NBATopShot commentary that you all know and love;
-More guests, both from NBA fans/affiliates, AND from collecting, both @NBATopShot and physical cards!
-For my people out west, I plan to have some evening streams, in addition to the early-as-hell streams.
-At least one episode per week will be dedicated to physical card collecting.
-More NBA centered content/commentary.
-I am still interested in a partnership with @lacroixwater, despite being ignored by them for years.
To everyone who has commented, liked, retweeted or watched any of my videos, I notice, and appreciate it a lot. The internet is full of people who are not nice to each other. I was about ready to break up with social media last July/August, but there are just too many awesome people here, that I enjoy talking with and seeing (albeit digitally).
Here's to an exciting 2026-27 NBA season, and a whole bunch of streams/content that I hope you will enjoy!

Platforms can make a card rarer. They canโt make us want it more.
Paniniโs World Cup stickers and Top Shotโs next rookie releases are coming. Before deciding what to buy, I looked at what recent drops offeredโand whether collectors valued it.
Top Shotโs $199 WNBA Box had a $361 median sealed resale price in its first week.
Paniniโs $150 WNBA FOTL pack had a $90 secondary median during October 5โ11.
Candyโs Gold Aces packs mostly stayed sealed.
What makes a collectible worth chasing?
I think a good release offers something worth chasing todayโand something worth collecting tomorrow.
TOP SHOT MADE THE UPGRADE COMPELLING.
Its $199 WNBA public Box contained five $39 Standard packs, plus a Rookie Revelation or Ultimate topper.
Another $4 bought an additional premium chase.
Across 100 first-week Box resales, the median was $361. Standard packs also held above release: $42.99 across 213 sales during October 5โ11.
My read: desirable premium Moments, an inexpensive upgrade, and set rewards and locking that encouraged continued collecting.
Those Box sales involved just 34 buyer wallets. A small audience, but one that valued the offer.
PANINI OVERPRICED THE EXCLUSIVITY.
Paniniโs $30 WNBA Hobby packs already offered Color Blast, Abstract and low-numbered parallels.
The $150 First Off the Line version added an exclusive parallel numbered to 17, 8 or 3.
Another $120, principally for one card.
Across 100 first-week exclusive-card sales, the median was $15.50. Only 15 exceeded that additional charge.
During October 5โ11:
โข Hobby: $30 release โ $28 secondary median.
โข FOTL: $150 release โ $90 secondary median.
This isnโt a complete pack valuation. But Panini asked collectors to pay five times the Hobby price for additional scarcity, while the headline chases remained available in Hobby.
CANDY NEEDED STRONGER REASONS TO CONTINUE.
Base offered ten ICONs for $10, Rainbow chases, and Ohtani and Judge completion rewards.
All-Star raised the price to $40 without a Legendary chase and headline playersโ Epics were reserved for later auctions.
Another Rainbow chase. Another set to complete.
I thought the format was getting tired, and the rewards didnโt justify restarting at four times the price.
Goldโs early themes generated more opening and singles activity. Then Aces became a roadblock.
Our snapshot supports approximately 15 of 36 Aces packs opened.
Gold guaranteed an Epic and advertised a one-in-six Legendary chance. But at a $500 auction floor, Aces couldnโt generate the same excitement as the earlier Rookies release.
My read: buyers looking to flip overestimated that appeal.
A card can be scarce because everyone wants it.
Or because nobody is opening the packs.
Goldโs quests required every theme. With most Aces packs sealed, much of the supply set collectors needed wasnโt reaching the singles market.
I think that weakened the reason to buy subsequent rounds.
THE NEXT DROPS LOOK MORE PROMISING.
Paniniโs October 26 World Cup Prizm stickers offer five for $8, including two non-Silver parallels and possible 1/1s.
Challenges award Purple versions of top players. Afterward, Silvers become eligible to burn for Block Points.
Accessible pricing, reasons to build, and a use for ordinary pulls. I like that propositionโeven with 160,320 packs announced.
Top Shotโs Standard Rookie Debut editions fall from /1,000 to /500. Future trade-in auctions and leaderboard rewards give collectors reasons to pursue rookies throughout the season.
If priced well, thatโs a compelling combination.
A pack doesnโt have to make you money to be worth opening.
And a successful flip doesnโt necessarily leave behind a collection people want to build.
Before buying, Iโm asking:
What do I want inside?
What am I paying to pursue it?
What makes the collection worth continuing?
Scarcity is something a platform can specify.
Desirability is something collectors decide.
