Inspirational!
Visitors to Seattle are often amazed by the excellence of the bus system and especially the high quality of transit priority. Most people "have very little idea how this happened." Well, here's how it happened. 1/

Perhaps @icbc should require proof that license plates are legible at renewal time? Plates like these undermine accountability, especially for automated enforcement. @VPDTrafficUnit – at Vancouver, British Columbia

Rather puzzling that these fire hazard signs in @ParkBoard #StanleyPark don’t also have at least NO SMOKING 🚭 pictograms. The only 🚭 sign I saw between the park entrance and Third Beach was hidden by leaves. @VanFireRescue

San Francisco Bay area: remarkable returns from @SFBART 's new unjumpable fare gates. I would like to live in a high trust society where these aren't necessary. But sometimes we need infrastructure for the society we have.

Using the credit card on my watch as a @PRESTOcard to ride transit in Toronto was a pleasure. Best value fares and easy tracking of journeys through the PRESTO app. Will be even better when @TTChelps and @MayorOliviaChow introduce monthly fare capping. Daily cap also needed!

I just came back from a trip to Japan. The Japanese could figure out how to provide their citizens high speed rail. There’s no reason why we can’t. Don’t let Pierre Poilievre deny Canadians high speed rail. If we need help and advice from the Japanese, let’s get it.

Dreadful. A $1000 fine for killing a woman with a modified, lifted pickup truck that really has no place on public roads. Is #ICBC asleep at the regulatory wheel? ⁦@NinaKriegerBC⁩ driving.ca/auto-news/local-c…

FastTrackTO is launching and releasing our 10 point plan to fix the Toronto Streetcar network. A symbol of the city that could be great with achievable, common sense and low cost changes. The plan if implemented would transform the city. fast-track.to/ (1/2)

Modular housing is not new to BC. The British Columbia Mills Timber and Trading Company between 1904 & 1910 offered affordable, ready-to-assemble residential and commercial structures shipped across Western Canada. The kits contained pre-painted,numbered panels and instructions, enabling quickly assembly with minimal carpentry skills. Some of the original homes still exist in Vancouver. Steveston’s Museum is a BCMTTC modular structure. @gregorrobertson #modularhousing #kithouses

Over two years after I reported the issue, @CityofVancouver has finally repainted these stop and crosswalk lines! A photo from April 2020 showed them almost obliterated even then. Hope it helps correct poor motorist compliance.
Reported these missing stop and crosswalk lines at Cambie/2nd via @CityofVancouver 311 app over a year ago. Still missing. Frequent motorists overshoots and crosswalk coverups @PeterMeiszner

Flight with @AirCanada in <24 hours. App says check-in open (and flight is on-time) but trying to check-in leads to a β€œcheck-in closed” page. Guessing this is a widespread issue as flights restart?

Drove into the @TranBC @TranBC_LMD Cole Road Rest Area in Abbotsford yesterday. Parking is 100% occupied by an encampment. Zero sense of safety. It’s unusable and should be marked CLOSED until restored to intended use.
