Bayo Onanuga and Kashim Shettima have discovered a sudden passion for inspecting school records. How touching. They should begin with the man they serve. A document in Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Chicago State University records says he graduated from Government College Lagos in 1970, four years before the school was established in 1974. That is quite a feat: graduating from a school before it opened its doors. Before mocking Atiku Abubakar for attending a school that existed, perhaps Kashim Shettima should explain how Bola Ahmed Tinubu managed to attend one that did not.
Dear @inecnigeria can you explain why you have AI Generated images on the INEC Register in polling units in Ward 11, Etsako West LG, Edo State.
We want explanation.
Who infused AI generated images in the register?
who did the capturing?
Who collected their pvcs if they have been collected?
We want answers!!!!!

APC'S IRRESPONSIBLE FALSEHOOD CANNOT HIDE TINUBU'S FAILURES, ADC REPLIES ALAKE
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has described the latest statement by the APC Presidential Campaign Council, alleging unpaid salaries within our party, as an irresponsible falsehood and another laughable piece of cheap propaganda from a government that has failed Nigerians on every important measure of governance.
We find it rather amusing that a government that has presided over one of the most painful periods of economic hardship in our country's recent history now considers itself qualified to lecture anyone about the welfare of workers.
But perhaps we should not be surprised. When a government has no achievements to defend, it must manufacture allegations to discuss.
"The ADC categorically rejects this allegation as an irresponsible falsehood, deliberately concocted to mislead Nigerians and distract attention from the monumental failures of the Tinubu administration. If the APC has any credible evidence to support its claims, it should produce it rather than continue to insult Nigerians with fabricated stories masquerading as press statements."
We understand the APC's desperation to change the conversation. But Nigerians are not fools.
The real issue is not the imaginary crisis that the APC is desperately trying to manufacture within the ADC. The real issue is the crisis that President Bola Tinubu and his government have created in the homes of millions of Nigerians.
The real issue is the cost of living. The real issue is the absence of jobs and opportunities for our young people. The real issue is the insecurity that continues to threaten lives, livelihoods, and communities across the country.
These are the issues on which this government must be judged, and no amount of propaganda can redeem it.
"It is becoming increasingly clear that the APC has decided to run its 2027 campaign on allegations against the opposition rather than achievements of its own. That is what happens when a government has spent years making promises it cannot keep and excuses it cannot defend."
We therefore advise Mr Alake and his colleagues to spend less time inventing stories about the ADC and more time explaining why Nigerians should reward their party with another term after the hardship, insecurity and economic uncertainty of the last three years.
The APC may control the machinery of government, but it cannot control the lived experiences of Nigerians. And no amount of propaganda targeted at the opposition can erase the monumental record of the ruling APC.
This election is about one issue only: the cost of living that the Tinubu administration has pushed beyond the reach of the majority of Nigerians. The ADC will stay focused on this issue. We will not be distracted. We will continue to hold this government accountable on the issues that matter to Nigerians.
"If the APC has a record to defend, let it defend it. If it has solutions, let it present them. But it should stop insulting the intelligence of Nigerians with these increasingly desperate distractions."

UNPAID STAFF SALARIES: NIGERIANS SHOULD REJECT ABUBAKAR AND ADC CANDIDATES
It has come to our attention that the National Working Committee of the African Democratic Congress, led by Senator David Mark as Chairman and Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola as Secretary, has refused and neglected to pay party staff for over a year.
We find it unconscionable that a political party that has made many grandiose promises to hoodwink Nigerians owes its workers for more than 12 months. Owing staff who come to work every day and who rely on the salaries for their daily sustenance is wicked and reprehensible.
With this development, Nigerians can now see the emptiness and insincerity of those parading themselves as 'new saviours'.
We have clearly stated that ADC leaders and their presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, do not mean well and can do nothing for our country. Their desperation for power is driven by personal aggrandisement and venomous ill will against President Bola Tinubu. A party that cannot pay its cleaners and workforce cannot be entrusted with our country's affairs.
Atiku Abubakar, the ADC's leader and Presidential candidate, has a reputation for owing his employees. While he regularly junkets to the UAE, staff at his Gotel Communication and other businesses also went months without pay and staged protests over unpaid salaries and other benefits.
The record of the ADC General Secretary, Rauf Aregbesola, on paying workers' salaries and pensioners in Osun State, where he was a governor for 8 years, was abysmal. As governor, he mismanaged the state's finances to the point that he could not pay workers. His government thus introduced quarter-salary and, at times, half-salary payments. As for pensioners, he abandoned them for more than four years. Many died because they could not afford the basics of life.
We are therefore not surprised that ADC, harbouring birds of the same feather, cannot pay its workers' salaries.
We are sounding a warning to Nigerians and working people now: reject ADC. Reject Atiku Abubakar and reject all ADC candidates in the next general elections. They do not have the interest of our country and our people at heart. A party that aspires to govern Nigeria and which cannot be trusted with something as basic as the management of its own affairs and the welfare of its workforce should be rejected by Nigerians.

Where are they getting these monies? What is their budgets? These people are just here to loot & steal the fortune of this country. Only time would tell the extent of damage T-Pain & his people have done to Nigeria.
The @officialEFCC would overlook this. The @NGRSenate @HouseNGR won't see anything here to investigate.

Ordinarily, @OfficialAPCNg media would use those small quadcopter drones to cover this event. It is super important to them. It is a defining outing, that will tell the upcoming stories. But they decided to use a 5,000 capacity stadium 🏟️, and use close range photography so that they'd hide the shame. With hundreds of millions budgeted for this august rally on October, you'd expect it to happen in Murtala Square, and drones would be used to show us the remaining Nigerians that are still happy with the sufferings brought by T-Pain😁

Reforms didn’t stop him from purchasing another private jet.
Reforms didn’t stop him from buying bulletproof cars.
Reforms didn’t stop him from enriching already wealthy politicians and elites.
Reforms didn’t stop him from spending billions on solar panels at Aso Rock after failing to fulfil his empty promises of providing electricity.
Reforms didn’t stop him from spending billions on propaganda and influencers.
Reforms didn’t stop him from appointing and funding people like Reno Omokri and Showunmi, one of whom has publicly insulted and degraded him in the past for the whole world to see.
But of course, we are the ones who must suffer the consequences of these stinking, worthless, headless camouflage reforms.
Pendejo
Tinubu is not perfect, and I have never claimed he is. But if he had avoided reforms and continued kicking Nigeria’s problems down the road like previous administrations, people like me might not have any reason to defend his government today.
Some of us support these reforms despite the hardship they have brought into our own lives because we understand that fixing a broken economy may require difficult decisions. Supporting a government doesn’t mean pretending Nigerians aren’t suffering; it means looking beyond today’s pain to examine whether the policies can produce lasting results.
My problem with arguments like this is that they appeal to people’s emotions without seriously examining the reasons behind the reforms. You cannot judge every economic decision by how painful it feels today while ignoring what happens if the underlying problems are never addressed.
I am not being paid to defend Tinubu. I can even spend my own money campaigning for him because I believe Nigeria needs leaders willing to confront difficult economic problems rather than avoid them for political convenience.
You can disagree with Tinubu’s methods, but tell me this would you rather have a government that confronts difficult economic problems or one that keeps postponing them to win public approval?

Dear @charlesaniagolu, these are the questions you should have asked him during the interview. A well-placed person was alleging a serious criminal act on television. You should have let him reveal more, instead of constantly interrupting him.
You should then have followed up with the questions such as: Who paid the billions to be appointed Minister in this government? Who were the monies were paid to? Who benefited from the payments? How do they recoup the monies they paid? Is the President aware? Can you testify to these allegations in court?
Forget every other question or comment in your interview script and dive in on the interesting allegations.
During my interview with Alwan Hassan, APC Presidential Campaign Council spokesman, on Arise TV’s Prime Time, he alleged that “a lot of ministers pay billions and billions” to secure appointments, and then enter office thinking about how to recover their money.
I pressed him on the issue and reminded him that these are ministers that have been put there by the APC.
He said the practice predates the APC. That makes the allegation even more serious.
Who allegedly collects these billions? Who pays? Who is selling public appointments? And are Nigerians ultimately made to pay for it through corruption?
If these claims are true, they demand a credible investigation. If not, Mr Hassan owes Nigerians a clear explanation.
Who are the alleged beneficiaries, and will anyone be held accountable?
Public office is a public trust, not a private investment to be recouped at taxpayers’ expense.

My brother, let's be clear. I'm not here to destroy your image, I'm here to destroy your argument.
You misquoted the Prophet SAW to justify your political loyalty. That is dishonest.
We are living through unprecedented hardship, insecurity and killings, and you still claim you support him because he is doing what's right? On what moral or intellectual grounds?
Support him if you want, that's your right. But don't weaponize Hadith to sanitize what we all know is wrong. We will challenge that every single time.
Let me ask you, how would you feel if your own child was among the Borno schoolchildren kidnapped on the same day as the Oyo school children?
How would you feel if your family member was among the 50 farmers slaughtered in Kebbi, or the 25 worshippers slaughtered in a mosque in Niger State? Not to even mention what is happening daily in Kaduna, Zamfara, Katsina and Sokoto.
Do you know there are over 50 LGAs in this country that are completely inaccessible? Even the governors cannot enter them.
When the Oyo children were kidnapped, they were rescued quickly. Ours in the North are still in captivity, in this harsh weather, while their parents are left in tears, having sleepless nights. Is that justice?
We complain about out-of-school children, and Tinubu goes ahead to increase public university fees from N26,000 to over N200,000 depending on the course. I know someone who paid more than N300,000.
Can you show me a single 100% completed, commissioned project worth N50 billion by Tinubu in the entire Northern Nigeria? I can show you international-standard projects worth N16 trillion, 100% completed and commissioned, in the South.
And with all this, you still have the nerve to attack us just for expressing our pain?
When we were supporting Tinubu with our hard-earned money, you were busy cursing and criticizing him left and right. Now that what he is doing clearly contradicts the teachings of my religion, and our Prophet forbids us from following this kind of leader, wallahi, even if Tinubu were my own father, I would never support him.
I will continue to raise my voice for the victims he has abandoned, even if it costs me my life and I will be proud to stand before Allah to defend my stance.

YOU ARE DELUSIONAL — ATIKU REPLIES TINUBU
Former Vice President and ADC presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar has described President Bola Tinubu’s claim that the opposition created hunger and poverty as a delusional, shameless attempt to dodge responsibility for the misery his own government has inflicted on Nigerians.
Atiku said a President cannot light the fire of hardship with his own policies, then blame the neighbours for the smoke.
In a statement issued by Phrank Shaibu, Director of Strategic Communication of the ADC Presidential Campaign Council, Atiku said:
“Mr President, blaming the opposition for hunger is either delusion or a staggering case of political amnesia. The APC governed Nigeria for eight years before you took office. You have added another three and a half years. Nigerians know who has been in power, and hardship did not begin when the opposition started talking about it. Stop insulting their intelligence and answer for your record.
“The hardship your administration has brought upon Nigerians is real. You cannot deny it by blaming others.
“Your decision to commission the unfinished Abuja to Kaduna Expressway from inside a stadium shows how far removed you are from the daily reality of Nigerians. A road cannot be completed with a speech or a ribbon cutting ceremony.
“Which administration removed the petrol subsidy and watched the naira fall from about ₦471 to ₦1,329 to the dollar?
“Which administration has presided over a rise in poverty that led the World Bank to estimate that 63 per cent of Nigerians will be below the national poverty line in 2026? Which administration extended the 2024 budget into 2025 while also operating a separate 2025 budget?
“Which administration recorded ₦7.13 trillion under ‘energy security’ in 2024 and faces questions over ₦11.2 trillion in NNPC pipeline related spending? Nigerians deserve to know who received these sums and what was delivered.
“Which administration must explain the $12.4 billion gap flagged in Nigeria’s external accounts for the first half of 2026? Which administration paid $22.5 million in ‘other charges’ on the Abu Dhabi financing facility?
“Which administration is responsible for the killings, kidnappings and displacement that continue to terrorise communities? These are the questions Nigerians are asking while your government blames the opposition.
“You cannot govern for three years, make life harder, and then blame others for describing the hardship. You asked who created the hunger. Nigerians are asking what you have done to end it.
“The people will judge your government by the lives they are living, not by the excuses you offer at campaign rallies.
“The 2027 presidential election will be a referendum on your record. Nigerians have felt the cost of your leadership in their homes, markets and communities. Their verdict is already clear: they have rejected your administration.”

I condemn in the strongest possible terms the brutal attack on comedian Osagie Daniel Idedia (aka Porkupyne), in Benin City, Edo State, and I state without equivocation that this was a politically motivated assault on a Nigerian citizen solely because he is my supporter and because he dared to demand good governance and accountability in Edo State. I hold Governor Monday Okpebholo @m_akpakomiza, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the APC leadership directly responsible for creating and tolerating a climate of impunity in which opposition supporters are beaten, maimed and terrorised. Governor Okpebholo must explain what happened to Porkupyne, stop hiding behind official silence and prove that his government is not shielding political thugs; President Tinubu and the APC must stop the brutalisation of my supporters and end the dictatorial arrogance of treating loyal opposition as enemies of the state. The police must urgently investigate allegations of political involvement, identify the perpetrators and expose whoever sponsored or facilitated this cowardly attack, because no Nigerian should be brutalised for refusing to support Tinubu, the APC or any governor, and no political party has the right to beat, maim or terrorise its way to power.
I am formally drawing the attention of @amnesty @AmnestyNigeria and all foreign missions in Nigeria to this deeply troubling incident. They must closely monitor the treatment of opposition supporters, independently document politically motivated violence and demand accountability from the relevant authorities as Nigeria approaches the 2027 general elections. I demand immediate justice for Porkupyne and protection for every Nigerian exercising the right to political choice and peaceful dissent. Nigeria belongs to all Nigerians, not to the APC, not to Tinubu and not to any governor who believes power gives him the right to intimidate citizens into submission. The APC must stop the brutalisation of my supporters now, and Governor Okpebholo and President Tinubu must demonstrate that their administrations will neither tolerate political violence nor shield anyone responsible for it. -AA
