Oof. I wish this had been tattood on my forehead at the age of 13.
When Fulton Sheen returned from Europe with an exceptional education, he expected to teach at The Catholic University of America. Instead, his bishop sent him to a parish in Peoria. Why? “I was afraid you might become proud. I wanted to find out if you were obedient.” Sheen obeyed. Eight months later, he was appointed to teach at the university. Obedience is not proven when authority agrees with your ambitions, but when you humbly submit to legitimate authority, even when its decisions contradict your own plans.

On Lindsey Graham. Stay with me on this. The worst kept secret in Washington DC came out today because 3 brave men came out and told the truth and it doesn’t matter if it is after he’s dead. Brave? Yes brave. Why are they brave? They had to go on camera and tell intimate details of their personal lives. To the world. That is extremely difficult to do. Yes it’s brave. And Stressful. They walked into the public square opening themselves to the opinions of the entire world. No matter your opinion on the issue, they took a courageous leap in coming forward. If you are critical, would you go on camera and tell your secrets to the entire world? I would bet a lot of money you wouldn’t. Ok but there is more to this. Because this is the world I saw up close in Washington. I saw behind the curtain and saw ALL the wizards. Everyone in the highest levels of power in Washington DC are keeping secrets that would destroy their entire lives. And that’s exactly why they have power. Not because they are so smart or qualified or the best choice for leadership. I mean really, if you think our best and brightest are in charge then do some critical thinking and look at the pathetic state of our debt, our dollar, and how our government is run, and the outcome that affects your life. Their secrets are the only reason these people rise to the top. Because their secrets are not secrets. We all knew Lindsey Graham was gay. Everyone did. Their secrets are levers of control. Keeps them in line. Makes them a team player. And will make them fight the hardest on issues that don’t make sense in order to keep their secrets just that. Secrets. So everyone is arguing about how this is old news, why now? Or arguing about being gay, and gay issues. Or arguing because that’s what everyone does on the internet, just argue with each other and with bots about issues they don’t have the real truth on, but throw out their strongest opinion anyways. I’m here to tell you the granular issue you need to dial in on and block out the rest of the noise. Three gay men just bravely pulled back the curtain and tried to teach you all the most important lesson America needs to learn. It’s this. America’s most powerful leaders keep secrets that comprise them in the most dangerous ways for the security, safety, and prosperity of our nation. That’s the whole point. I tried my hardest to fight the entire system on both sides of the aisle and couldn’t beat it because YOU ALL keep voting these people back into office and back into power. By the way, I always cosponsored the Term Limit bill and no matter who is in charge, Pelosi, McCarthy, or Johnson, Dem or Rep, that bill never ever got even close to getting a vote on the House floor. So the question for you, The American People, is are you able to learn the lesson and if so, what exactly are YOU going to do about it? Ask yourself, what are you voting for? Donating to? Volunteering for? And are you really satisfied with the outcome election cycle after election cycle?

Homeschool your children, Kentucky! Wake up!
Financially struggling Kentucky school District has paid out more than $800,000 JUST in 2026 to teachers, administrators, and security personnel that are not allowed around the students due to pending legal charges. One Principal has been paid $550,000 plus benefits since 2023. He was arrested his first day on the job as principal and has been being paid a principal’s salary while not allowed around children per district policy. Jefferson County Public Schools (JCPS) currently has 17 employees sitting on “reassignment”—full pay, full benefits, zero contact with students. Most are teachers. Two are in-school security monitors. Three are administrators. The longest one is former Olmsted Academy North Principal Leroy Littles. Arrested March 13, 2023, on his very first day in the job. Warrant out of Bullitt County for misdemeanor assault and terroristic threatening stemming from a Christmas 2022 incident in Shepherdsville. The terroristic threatening charge was later dropped; the assault was amended up to second-degree. As of this month the case still has not gone before a grand jury. How does this even happen? Littles had already worked for JCPS for 16 years and was being promoted into a principal role. Did the district run a background check as part of the hiring process? Why didn't a pending warrant from a neighboring county show up if they did? That raises a bigger question. If a pending warrant can slip through for a new principal, how many other people are currently working around JCPS students with open warrants or charges the district never caught? The fact that Littles made it onto a campus at all makes me concerned the district’s vetting process is not catching these things before staff are placed with kids. Littles has maintained he was never there. His attorney says the accuser (who was involved with a JCPS employee) searched the district directory looking for a Black male employee and picked Littles’ name. Littles sued the district in 2024, alleging the reassignment has destroyed his career and that he was treated differently from white employees in similar situations. That lawsuit is paused until the criminal case finishes. Meanwhile JCPS has kept him on the payroll the entire time. He was first moved to a research role, then in July 2026 to the materials production department—where he is the highest-paid person, making about $130,000 a year while most his coworkers make 40k–$`70k. The district is not even running its own active investigation anymore. The state’s Education Professional Standards Board review is still open. The new principal who replaced him at Olmsted North makes roughly the same salary. The other 16 reassignments are shorter but the same system: full pay while the district investigates or “makes a final personnel decision.” One assistant principal was reassigned to a bus compound after an investigation into inappropriate remarks was found inconclusive. Another principal (Hollie Smith at Academy @ Shawnee) has been ordered to stay off campus and not contact staff or students since March while her investigation continues. She makes over $170,000. This is the same district that has a $188 million budget hole, just cut programs and closed schools, and still wants more property tax money. Seventeen people who cannot be around kids, collecting full principal and teacher salaries, while the district is telling taxpayers there isn’t enough money for classrooms.

It's weird to me that Catholicism is essentially the only expression of Christianity that does its absolute best to offer DAILY corporate worship. And this isn't something that exists only at Monasteries or in major cities, even surprisingly small towns have daily Mass. Even where daily Mass isn't available, that is only owing to a lack of Priests. If the Church could do so, it would offer Mass 365 days/year at every single Parish Church on earth, and all Priests teach that while daily Mass is not required, it's an immensely valuable and desirable spiritual practice for all Christians. I contend that if an alien arrived on earth on a mission to learn about Christianity, this would be one of the first things they'd notice. Like "why are half of all Christian Churches closed 6 days a week, but the other half hold worship every single day?" Then again, it makes sense. It all comes down to how you define "worship." If "worship" means singing songs and reading the Bible, that's one thing. If "worship" means offering a sacrifice, that's another. And of course, at the old temples in the Old Testament, they were offering sacrifices daily, so it's only natural we'd continue re-presenting the most perfect Sacrifice ever made. I am SO thankful for the daily Mass. I truly do not know where I'd be without it; I thank God that His Church unfailingly strives to keep the doors of its Parishes open as often as they humanly can!

I have read and re-read this passage from Milo ten times. It is both heart breaking and beautiful at the same time. Given Milo's tendencies perhaps he meant it to be rather scathing. But he managed to capture the most beautiful heart of a woman in the same stroke. It might be the most beautiful thing he's ever written.
This is the horror men dare not admit, or none would ever marry again, and none would ever sleep again. For they can only ever be instrumental and fantastical to the women they love. There is no true or untrue, no objective reality, because she is a creature of the subjunctive. She lives in the world of the possible, the hypothetical, the wished-for and the never-was, the maybe, the almost, the oft-wondered and the yearned-for. Wherever you are, she is not, and wherever she may be, you can never join her. She can do you no injury and thus may do as she pleases, because, to her, you simply are not there.

Agree. But if you read between the lines, what he is saying is also incredibly beautiful. "She lives in the world of the possible, the hypothetical, the wished-for and the never-was, the maybe, the almost, the oft-wondered and the yearned-for." This is the quintessential definition of hope, without which humanity is lost. It's the counter to the logical and rational masculine. The masculine must accept this and be brave enough to carry its multitudes.

I truly believe that the optimal way forward is embracing a Dark Age Mindset. This means: - Embracing Decline as Opportunity. When the foundations of familiar institutions are shaken, it's a signal to us to stop investing so much effort and dependence on those things, and create new alternatives that actually serve us as people and communities. -Cultivating Resilient Character and Faith. The folks who did this before were not weak, fragile, or wishy-washy. Get hard. -Preserve and Transmit Knowledge. If institutions that have historically been responsible for this (looking at you, media and schools) are failing, then it's another opportunity for us to step into decentralized roles as stewards of cultural patrimony, preserving literacy, classical texts, and traditions and educating our own children with this heritage to ensure continuity in a potentially post-literate or tech-degraded world. -Pursuing Self-Sufficiency and Simplicity. "Ora et labora" was the motto that drove that age forward and upward. But they showed us that simplicity needn't be minimalist or ugly; some of the most durable and beautiful things ever made came from these times. -Reject Dooming and Be Proactive. No despair. Instead, simplify your processes, improve your skills, and meet your challenges vigorously. -Foster Creativity in Adversity. Necessity is the mother of invention. But the human person is not merely mechanical; we need beauty, music, good stories, living rituals, significance... Cultivate these things especially in the face of monopolized artificiality. -Focus on Local and Subsidiarist Action. Subsidiarity is handling matters at the smallest, most local level possible; create "schools for service" (as Benedict did) that prioritize family, home culture, nature, and education over distant, failing institutions. The more responsibility you take up over all the spheres of your living experience, the more you step into sovereignty.

Always said Protestants are just Jews. After the temple sacrifices ended the Jews went into synagogues to study the Old Testament texts. After the Protestants got rid of the sacrifice of the Mass they made their own synagogues to study the New Testament texts. Just as modern Judaism is no longer Jewish, Protestant Christianity is no longer Christian. Without the Sacrifice the religion is useless.

“The Jews are not Israel.” -Augustine of Hippo St. Augustine taught that Israel must be understood not merely according to the flesh, but according to the promises fulfilled in Christ. The Church inherits the spiritual promises of God. The Catholic Church is the new Israel.

Carl Jung (founder of analytical psychology) on Catholics and therapy: In 40 years of practice, he treated only about 5–6 practicing Catholics. He said the Church’s confession and sacraments already did the psychological work. When Catholics came to him, he often sent them back to their confessor: “Confess it before God—you’re better off in the Church than in analysis.” One case even earned him a private papal blessing for teaching Catholics how to confess properly.
