Why don't we have cute electric self-driving on-demand busses that move people around suburbs, specifically people with low mobility. They would only go less than 40km/hr on local roads, and perhaps with someone to help people with shopping, and could even play a fun tune? 1/2

Decarbonising our cities and making them more equitable means great, accessible public transport. Why don't we start with bus shelters?
Thanks for coming to my #TEDx talk.

Playgrounds in Western Sydney are hot enough to burn children on a summer day! We're building infrastructure that isn't just inadequate for the future climate, it's unsafe.

Thanks for the amazing cartoon @gavin_scribes !
My scribe of @emmarbacon of @SwelteringCity’s talk about #busshelters at @tedxsydney #tedxsydney. Great talk, Emma. Thank you. #transport #heatwave #climatechange
An amazing experience to speak at #tedxsydney about climate justice, heat and transport. There were clear, diverse proposals for addressing the climate crisis, including from the incredible @GriffithSaul. We need action from the local to the global and ambition to start today.
