나름 이유가 있는게 투구꽃이라고 맹독을 가진 꽃이 있는데, 동양에서 이 꽃으로 만든 맹독에 당한 사건이 많았고 꽃이 선명한 보라색을 띄다보니까 동양에서는 보라색이 독이라는 인식을 가지게 되었어요 이후 이게 퍼져서 동양에서는 위험, 독, 어둠, 죽음의 의미로 보라색이 쓰이게 되었어요
