3D printed a nice mini Stargate to go on top of my monitor. Came out great using a 0.2mm nozzle, keeping the detail on the symbols #SaveStargate

We didn't want a reimagining, inversion or twist. I've always held that in order for a new Stargate to be successful, you must appeal to new fans and old. Ideally, it would be a story that is a direct continuation of what came before in the cleanest way possible as many have suggested, but it's entirely possible that this was attempted (hint hint HIIIIINT) and didn't get anywhere so an alternate approach was taken that would still leave the door open to reintroducing and revisiting characters from the past. NOT reimagined versions of the characters but the actual characters.

Wouldn't this be interesting?
"Then you can spin off into multiple directions: a new SG team exploring the Milky Way, a new Atlantis-style expedition, a deep-space series, or even an entire series following characters and civilizations from the alternate universe. Meanwhile, Prime Daniel can return to our universe and become the connective tissue between the new shows and the original Stargate continuity." #SaveStargate
An alternate-universe Stargate series could have be the perfect way to start fresh without rebooting the franchise.
The hook: Prime Daniel Jackson—the Daniel we know from SG-1—is discovered alone aboard a ship in an alternate universe.
He has no idea how he got there.
This universe is different. Its history, Stargate program, characters and civilizations have taken completely different paths.
But Daniel remembers our universe.
That makes him the audience's bridge into this new reality. We discover the AU alongside him, while his knowledge of our timeline creates a constant mystery:
Why is this universe different?
What happened to the people he knew?
Where is this universe's Daniel?
And why was Prime Daniel brought here?
The first series can ultimately follow Daniel trying to understand this reality and find a way home.
But getting Daniel back shouldn't be the end—it should be the launch point.
By then, the series could have introduced new characters, teams, planets and civilizations that are strong enough to support their own shows.
Then you can spin off into multiple directions: a new SG team exploring the Milky Way, a new Atlantis-style expedition, a deep-space series, or even an entire series following characters and civilizations from the alternate universe.

You don't reboot Stargate. You use the Daniel Jackson (Michael Shanks) we know to open the door to a whole new Stargate universe—and potentially an entire new generation of spin-offs.

AmazonMGM blew up Martin Gero's new #Stargate series for the stupidest reason ever: It has a HUGE existing fanbase.
Millions of fans worldwide waited decades for this. Did they think we wouldn't burn the galaxy to #SaveStargate?
They.
Didn't.
Think.

Seems quite a misuse of the emergency alert tbh. I thought they were supposed to be for imminent danger like incoming missiles, tsunamis, etc. Misusing it will cause people to switch them off. Dangerous!

#GerosGate is trending again.
@AmazonMGMStudio, you can ignore us. You can hide #SaveStargate.
But you can't stop us.
We'll keep finding new ways to make our voices heard until you realise what a mistake you made.

I do know. As my kids tell me I’m old as balls. I truly hope they find someone as great as Ryan. I was talking more about our writers and devs. I really want them to get the love and respect they deserve. I hope that for all writers and developers of the games that we love. No disrespect to tv and film writers. I had some of the best on Stargate ❤️

People are gonna take this as him wanting to play the role, I’m sure he knows his age isn’t gonna work in his favor for this. What I think he really meant with it was hire the same people who wrote and directed the game, they already did a fantastic job why wouldn’t you use them
Matt retweeted
No, someone is not "gonna know better". That, for some reason, is the point. More often than not, they hire writers who know nothing about the source material to "broaden the appeal" - thereby effectively neutering what made it so great and successful in the first place.

Hey Amazon,
You cancelled Stargate because you apparently didn't see the audience.
We've spent the last two months showing you exactly where that audience is.

You can cancel a TV show.
You can't cancel the friendships it created, the memories it left behind, or the people who still believe in its future.
That's the thing about Stargate.
We want Martin Gero's Stargate series!

Hi @BaronDestructo. We just watched SGA - The Arc tonight. It looked quite an expensive set, what with the long corridor full of bulkhead doors. Don't suppose you have any trivia you could share on the making of that episode?

Fans keep #savestargate trending, over and over. It's so awesome to see.❤️
I still can't get over how dumb people running Amazon are rn for doing this to Martin Gero's Stargate. It's ok though. We can keep doing this...@AmazonMGMStudio
