Chief of Defense Forces in Canada responds to the “incident” that caused a large wildfire on CFB Wainwright grounds in Alberta.
Canada: A wildfire has just broken out in Alberta on the Canadian Forces Base in Wainwright.
Both the Prime Minister and Premier have made statements saying a “serious and major incident occurred on the base, with a fast moving fire starting.” Medivac ships are flying into the area, and the official Prime Minister page is calling it a tragedy.
The local community is being evacuated, and a large firefighter response is underway. Something big must have happened to cause this fire to get such a reaction from both the Prime Minister and Premier, so quickly. Reports of major explosions.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is advising residents in the Malibu area of updated evacuation orders and warnings associated with the Bryson Fire.
