"I was molested hundreds of times in my bed, including the night before competing in the Olympic Games." McKayla Maroney was 13 when the team doctor started. In 2015 she sat on her bedroom floor for nearly three hours and told the FBI everything, including Tokyo, where he gave her a sleeping pill on the plane when she was 15. It should have been over right there. Instead the agent went silent, then asked, "Is that all?" In the video below, she tells the Senate about that call. "I began crying at the memory over the phone, and there was just dead silence." "Is that all?" "My abuse was enough, and they wanted to cover it up." It got worse. The FBI didn't write up her interview for 17 months. When it finally did, the Justice Department's watchdog found the report "materially false." It put words in her mouth. While it sat in a drawer, the doctor, Larry Nassar, abused at least 70 more girls. The head of that FBI office was talking to USA Gymnastics about a job with the Olympic Committee at the same time. She settled with USA Gymnastics for $1.25 million. The deal reportedly carried a $100,000 penalty if she talked. The agent was fired. His boss retired. The Justice Department reviewed it twice and charged no one. The government paid the victims $138.7 million instead. Were those agents covering for a predator, or just bad at their jobs?

Nicole can't tell you how old she is. Halfway through the interview she starts hunting for a bug that isn't there. Then she shows her arm: a wound so deep it's going into the bone. "It don't hurt at all." The interviewer ends it right there. She's from Puerto Rico. She's in Kensington, Philadelphia. That's about all you'll get out of her. The interviewer has talked to her before. She doesn't remember. In the video below you watch it fall apart in real time. How old is she? She says her name instead. Is she dealing with anything right now? "Oh my god. Where the hell the f*cking bug go?" Is this a bad time? "This is like the greatest..." She doesn't finish. He tells her straight: out of respect, she's too far gone for an interview. He's not going to put her through it. That's when she pulls back the wrap on her arm to show him. The man who has seen everything on that street says it's one of the biggest holes he's ever seen. She isn't worried. She's proud. "Mine's like the best one. Never had maggots. Never had this." Then: "They hate on me so much. Cuz I'm too pretty." Does it hurt? "No, it don't hurt at all. It's not infected or nothing." Then, like it's nothing: "It's just going into the bone." She says she just got out of the hospital on Monday. He tells her she has to go back. She laughs about getting high "real quick." He wishes her the best and walks away. That's the whole interview. 5 minutes. Some people will watch this and say she's too far gone. Others will notice she still thinks people are jealous of her. A woman with a hole in her arm down to the bone, telling a stranger the problem is that she's too pretty. Do you think anyone gets Nicole back to that hospital before it's too late?

Lauren is 45 and gets into any car that stops for $20. A man she knew raped her and forced liquor down her throat, and she was back in a stranger's car soon after. She grew up spoiled in a nice town. Now she smokes crack in Camden and says she's saving marriages. She's from Pitman, New Jersey. A nice little town. Oldest of six kids. "I had a very good life. I was kind of spoiled." Two years ago her mom kicked her out over drugs. "I brought that all on myself." She has kids. She says she wants to get home and put things back together. In the video below she explains her day like it's a shift at work. What does she use? "Dope and hard." Fentanyl and crack. She smokes it. How does she pay for it? "$20 every car. Six, seven cars a day." Is there any car she won't get into? "No, sir. It doesn't matter." Do men try to lowball her? "All the time." Some offer $5. What's the worst thing that's happened? A man pulled a gun and took the money back. And then: "I've been raped. It wasn't that long ago." It was a guy she knew. He was picking up the girls he knew on purpose, because he blamed them for his relapse. "Stick a bottle of liquor in your mouth. Drink the liquor right now." How soon did she get into another car? "Not that long." Her birthday was October 10th. She spent it sick in bed. Does she have a boyfriend? "Can't really have a boyfriend out here. Not when the first thing you're doing is cheating on somebody." Then she explains her philosophy, completely serious. The married men who pick her up go home feeling guilty. "Maybe you're going to be nice to your wife. Maybe you're nice to your girlfriend." She calls it "kind of like a service." And she's proud of the economy: "We add to a lot of revenue and commerce out here." Then she does a little dance for the camera. She calls it the Camden bop. At the very end she drops the act. "I really am tired and I really wish I could go home and do stuff with my family." Some people will laugh at the dance. Others will notice she got back in a car right after she was raped. A 45-year-old mom from a nice town, smoking crack in Camden, telling the camera she's good for marriages. Is Lauren delusional, or is this just what you have to tell yourself to survive out there?

Julia has been raped more times than she can count. The tranq knocks her out and she wakes up not knowing what was done to her. A man shoved her head into his car seat, she jumped out while it was moving. Cops curb-stomped her on day one. She used to be a hairstylist. She's from North Jersey. Her mom is from Ukraine. She had her own apartment and five cats. She did hair, danced, put on fire-spinning shows at music festivals. Then a maintenance man illegally evicted them. Unscrewed the door hinges, let the cats out, screwed the door shut and threw their stuff outside. She's been on the street since October. Her very first day in Kensington, police pulled her girlfriend out of a U-Haul. When Julia wouldn't get out, an officer pulled a gun on her. "I got thrown on the ground, curb stomped." No shoes, in shorts, in the cold. In the video below she tells you what being a woman out there really means. Did she dance at strip clubs? "I did. My family knows too." She misses the pole. What does she want other girls to know? There are men who watch you for months, learn everything about you, then act like it's their first time. What happened to her? A man offered her a job. She got in. "They shove my head down into the seat. 'Don't move.'" She waited for the car to slow down at a turn and jumped. "I f*cked myself up, but it probably would have been better than that." Anything else? "I've been held at gunpoint. I've been raped more times than I can count." Why? The tranq. "It knocks you out. You don't really know what's going on." And her body? "It's ruining my skin. I have burns all over me now." She's so thin she has to roll up her jeans. She forgets to eat until she sees people walking to the free meals. Her mom can't even go back to her own house in Ukraine. That part is under Russia now. So Julia prays for them too. And for everyone sleeping outside next to her. Some people will say she chose the drugs and everything that came with them. Others will say nobody chooses waking up not knowing what was done to them. A hairstylist who used to spin fire on stage now jumps out of moving cars to stay alive. Does Julia make it back to the life she had, or does Kensington keep her?

Kathy Kleiner was asleep in her sorority house when Ted Bundy walked in carrying an oak log. He had just killed the girls in the two rooms next to hers without a single scream. He smashed her face, raised the log again, and then car headlights lit up her window. As a kid she had lupus. Nine months of experimental chemo, all her hair gone, stuck at home so lonely she'd dial the operator just to talk to someone. So she picked the college farthest from home: Florida State. She joined Chi Omega. "I thought it'd be great to have 40 sisters." Her parents moved her into the sorority house because they thought it was safer than the dorms. In the video below she tells you about that night. 3 a.m. A man hiding in the bushes had noticed the back door lock didn't work. He picked up a piece of firewood and walked in. First room: Margaret Bowman. He hit her so hard it killed her instantly, then pulled the sheets up so she looked asleep. Second room: Lisa Levy. He attacked her with the same log. "He was so quiet. I never heard a scream. I never heard anything." Third room. Room number 8. Hers. He tripped over the little trunk between the beds. Walked to her side. Raised his arm over his head. Brought the log down on her face. "At first it didn't hurt. It felt like hitting a sack of potatoes." Then the blood. He went after her roommate, broke her arm and the bones in her face. Then he heard Kathy move and came back. She curled into the smallest ball she could. "I thought if he couldn't see me, he wouldn't kill me." He raised the log again. And the room filled with light. A car was dropping off one of the sisters at 3 a.m. He panicked and ran. Her jaw was broken in three places. "My chin was completely disintegrated. There was no bone there." Her cheek was cut open so you could see inside her mouth. She nearly bit through her tongue. She later had to sit across a table from him. His eyes were black. "Devoid of anything." He spent 10 years on death row. On his last morning he cried and begged: "Please don't kill me. I'll tell you more victims." Kathy says those were probably the same words his victims said to him. Two girls died that night. Kathy lived because someone came home late. What if that car had come home 5 minutes later?

Christy is 30. Maggots were crawling out of the open wound on her arm, and the hospital left her in the waiting room for 2 days. Now she's homeless in Baltimore, too scared to fall asleep because she thinks the rats will smell her arm and eat her. She's been out here for 4 years. The infection in her arm will never go back to normal. She already went septic once: shaking, freezing, couldn't eat or drink. The ER gave her antibiotics and tried to send her out within 24 hours. She was clean once. 308 days. Then she ended up right back on the same street. "Where am I going to sleep tonight. Where am I going to eat tomorrow." In the video below she tells you the moment she found them. What did it feel like? "I just felt something move. Like a worm or something moving." What did she do? "I took off all the stuff and it was just going everywhere." She soaked her arm in a tote of water. Her kids' father was there. "He's never seen anything like it." What did she think? "I thought I was going to die. I thought bugs, everything was going to attack me and eat me." Did the ER help with the withdrawal? They gave her nothing. She had to leave the hospital to go find drugs to get well. Why doesn't she sleep? "The scariest thing is closing my eyes and not waking up. I feel like rats are going to eat me. A fox, anything's going to smell my arm." So what does she do? "I stay up and fight myself from falling asleep. I'll go days and not sleep." The doctors say they can save the arm. She doesn't believe them. "I want them to just amputate." She has no clothes, no food, no shelter. She's lost too many friends to overdoses to count. "I'm 30 years old. I still got my whole life ahead of me. I don't want to be dead before I'm 31. And if I keep going this route, it's going to happen." Some people will watch this and say she did this to her own arm. Others will say a hospital that leaves a woman with maggots in a waiting room for 2 days did it too. She's 30. She's begging doctors to cut off her arm. And she's afraid to close her eyes at night. Do you think Christy makes it to 31?

Raven became exactly what her mother was. As a kid she watched her mom smoke crack, then she lost her. Years later Raven was doing porn, hooked on the same drugs, watching people around her go under. She says she's alive for one reason, and it isn't the industry. She tells the story herself on Soft White Underbelly, the channel that sits people down in front of a backdrop and lets them talk. She starts with her mother, who was on crack for most of Raven's childhood, and with what it was like to grow up around that. Later in the interview she comes back to the moment they lost her. The drugs didn't stay in her mother's generation. Raven got into adult film and, by her own account, into the same habits she had watched at home. She talks about how common drugs were among the people she worked with. What changed it was treatment. She says rehab saved her. When she talks about the people she knew from those years, she splits them into two groups: the ones who got out, and the ones who didn't. Same drugs. Same story. A different ending. Did porn pull Raven into the same life her mother lived, or was that life waiting for her anyway?

Martha has had 30 overdoses. She got knocked out cold on the street for her backpack. She lies in her own vomit when the dope runs out. She used to work in a hospital lab with a college degree. Her mom has her 11-year-old son and won't even tell her if he's okay. It all started with a dentist. Today she pulls copper wire out of the trash for $10 a day. She's from Northeast Philly. Mom and dad stayed together. "Great Christmases, great birthdays. Anything we wanted, we had." At 17 she fractured her teeth and the dentist prescribed Percocet. At 20 she hurt her back and the doctor gave her more. And more. Then it stopped. Heroin was $10 a bag. "It ended up being a more fiscally responsible way of getting help." She got her degree. She worked as a clinical lab tech, handling blood every day. She got clean after she had her son. Then her father died in 2020. She's been using ever since. In the video below she explains what the new dope does to a person. How does she start every day? "Every day I say today's going to be my last day. Every day." How many times has she overdosed? "30." What does Narcan feel like? "I'd rather be dead than Narcan'd. That's how I feel at the time." What's withdrawal like? "You're going to the bathroom on yourself. You're laying in your own vomit. You cannot physically get up. Hell on earth." Would she wish it on anyone? "I wouldn't wish this on Satan himself." A few months ago a man came up behind her at 7:30 p.m. and knocked her out cold for her backpack. She woke up alone a few minutes later. Nobody saw anything. Her son is 11 now. The last time she saw him, he was 8. He lives with her mother. Her mother doesn't speak to her. "They won't even tell me how he's doing." Asked how her son would feel if he saw this: "I think he'd be proud of me for trying." Some people will say she's a grown woman who chose the needle. Others will say a dentist chose it for her at 17. The woman who used to test other people's blood in a hospital now gets Narcan'd on the sidewalk. Is Martha responsible for where she ended up, or is she exactly what the pill companies made?

Farrah Abraham was 17 and eight months pregnant when she stood over the casket of her baby's father. She kept waiting for him to open his eyes. Then his sister stepped in front of the casket and demanded to know if the baby was even his. Farrah was thrown out of the funeral. She was the girl from MTV's "16 and Pregnant." Months earlier, a fight between her boyfriend Derek and her father had ended with a knife, a 911 call and a court order. They were not allowed to speak until the case was settled. The last time she saw him, she was five months pregnant with his daughter. Then one morning she snuck a call to her friend Katie. Her mom kept her away from her friends, so she had to hide it. Katie said one sentence: "Derek died in a car crash last night." That was it. Another friend died in the same car. Her parents didn't want her at the visitation. Even the MTV crew didn't want her to go. Two teenage girlfriends drove her anyway. "It wasn't a camera crew. It was just them doing the right thing." She looked at his blonde hair and thought: "Were you having your crazy nights again?" She remembered every stupid fight. Every time she'd screamed, "I will never be there if you die." She showed up anyway. And his family told her she shouldn't be there. After that she couldn't stop crying. She got kicked out of college classes. She was put on suicide watch and started a pile of medication. A few weeks later she gave birth to Sophia, and millions watched her on TV. Half the internet still calls her the worst mom in reality TV history. The other half never heard that she spent those months on suicide watch. Today Sophia is about to turn 18. Farrah is already looking at houses for her. She says she still struggled for years to find closure. Millions of people watched her pregnancy on MTV. When she stood at his casket, the only people on her side were two teenage girls. Was Farrah a broken teenager the world turned into a punchline, or a girl who sold her own tragedy for fame?

She begged him to stop filming. He didn't. He flew her in for a "modeling job," stacked camera cases against the door, swore nobody would see it. He posted it anyway. Victims say at least 15 women from his videos are now dead. Then he fled and made the FBI's Most Wanted list. The front page above covers his sentencing. Michael James Pratt, 42, ran GirlsDoPorn out of San Diego. Women answered online ads for modeling work, some were told it would be clothed, and once they landed they were handed contracts from companies called Bubblegum Casting or BLL Media. GirlsDoPorn wasn't mentioned anywhere. They were promised the footage would only go to private collectors overseas. Prosecutors said putting every video online was the plan from day one. Women who got nervous were put on the phone with "reference girls" who said their own videos had never surfaced. Women who wanted out were told they'd be sued or their flight home would be cancelled. The hearing on September 8, 2025 ran almost six hours and nearly 40 victims spoke. One of them was the mother of a young woman who died of an overdose in the years after her video was posted. Others described clips that kept coming back with their full names on them, old friends and co-workers who tried to blackmail them, and a new job one woman quit after screenshots showed up on her employer's page more than ten years after the shoot. Some changed their names, and some had surgery so nobody would recognize them. "The scariest part is the internet doesn't forget," one woman told the court. Pratt didn't stay for the civil trial. In 2019, after 22 of the women took him to trial, he sold everything he owned and left the country, and they won close to $13 million without him in the room. He spent more than three years as a federal fugitive before police picked him up in Madrid in late 2022. In June 2025 he pleaded guilty to sex trafficking. His lawyer admitted Pratt lied about where the videos would end up, but argued he never hurt anyone on set and the blocked doors were just small, crowded rooms. Prosecutors asked for nearly 22 years. Judge Janis Sammartino gave him 27, citing "the sheer scope and magnitude of this offense." Many of the women told the court they have spent years trying to get their videos taken down, and most said they've had little or no success.

Capri Anderson was a 22-year-old p*rn star paid $3,500 just to have dinner with Charlie Sheen, the highest-paid actor on TV. Hours later she was locked in a Plaza Hotel bathroom in her underwear. She says he had choked her, thrown a lamp at her and come at her with a knife. It was October 2010. Her agent called with what sounded like easy money: a paid appearance at a dinner party in New York. $3,500. No s*x, just dinner. The host was Charlie Sheen, star of Two and a Half Men. At the restaurant she spent most of the night talking to his ex-wife, Denise Richards. Sheen kept drinking. She says he got louder and louder, threw around racial slurs and kept disappearing to the bathroom. At one point Denise Richards got up and left. By the end of the night his friend asked Capri one favor: just make sure Charlie gets up to his room and stays there. In the suite, she says, she watched him snort a white powder. There was a massage, some kissing, and she took her dress off. She is clear that she was there willingly. Then he put his hands around her neck. That's when it all fell apart. She pulled away and went for her phone. He started throwing things. First a lamp, hurled across the room. Then she saw something shiny in his hand, maybe a letter opener, maybe a knife. She ran into the bathroom and locked the door, in her underwear, and called a friend. Hotel security and the NYPD came. Sheen's lawyers later claimed she had expected to be paid for s*x. "Absolutely untrue," she says. She never even got the $3,500. Four months later Sheen was fired from the biggest show on TV. He got a meltdown, a sold-out live tour and a new sitcom. She got called a liar. Do you believe Capri Anderson, or was she just after Charlie Sheen's money?

Mia Khalifa was the most searched woman on the planet after just 3 months in p*rn. She was paid $12,000. ISIS sent her a photo of her own beheading. Her family disowned her. 10 years later she still can't take down a single video, and she rebuilt her whole life anyway. She was born in Beirut and moved to the US as a kid. In October 2014, at 21, she walked into her first shoot in Miami. Two months later she was No.1 on the biggest adult site in the world. Then came the scene that changed everything: a video of her wearing a hijab. It exploded across the Middle East. Her name was in Lebanese newspapers. Her parents publicly said they had nothing to do with her. And then the threat arrived, a photoshopped image of her being beheaded, sent in the name of ISIS. She quit in early 2015. Total career: about three months. Total pay, by her own words: around $12,000. The studio kept every video. They are still online today, still getting millions of views, still making money. Not for her. For years she said she felt like people "can see through my clothes." Every job, every relationship, every new start came with the same clip attached. So she did something nobody expected. She became a sports commentator. She went viral for her takes on the NFL and NBA. She launched her own content and, this time, kept the money herself. In 2023 Playboy cut ties with her over her posts about Gaza, and she didn't back down. The industry made a fortune off three months of her life. She has spent more than a decade taking that life back. Was Mia Khalifa used by the industry, or did she outplay everyone who tried to profit off her?

Ashley Dupré was a 22-year-old escort charging $1,000 an hour when "Client 9" paid $4,300 for a night with her at a Washington hotel. Client 9 was the Governor of New York. Two days after the story broke, he resigned. Today she's the stepmom of TikTok star Alix Earle. Eliot Spitzer built his career as the "Sheriff of Wall Street." As New York's attorney general he went after crooked bankers and busted prostitution rings. In 2006 he won the governor's race in a landslide. People called him a future president. What nobody knew: he was a client of the Emperors Club VIP, a high-end escort service charging up to thousands of dollars an hour. His bank flagged a series of strange cash transfers. The feds thought it might be bribery. It turned out to be escorts. On February 13, 2008, a young woman known to the agency as "Kristen" took a train to Washington and met him at the Mayflower Hotel. FBI wiretaps caught the booking. In the court papers he was just "Client 9." On March 10, 2008, The New York Times broke the story. Within hours, reporters had a name for "Kristen": Ashley Dupré, an aspiring singer from New Jersey. Her MySpace music page got more than 9 million views in a week. Larry Flynt publicly offered her $1 million to pose for Hustler. Spitzer stood at a podium with his wife Silda beside him and apologized. On March 12 he announced his resignation. He was never charged with a crime. She was 22, and her face was on every front page in America. "I just don't want to be thought of as a monster," she told the New York Times. Years later she married, became a stepmother, and her stepdaughter Alix Earle became one of the biggest influencers on TikTok. He walked away a former governor. She walked away as "the Spitzer call girl" forever. Who paid the bigger price: the governor who hired her, or the 22-year-old whose name went around the world?

Sophie Anderson slept with 20,000 men. 100 every weekend. £100 an hour. One of them was a dad from her son's school, and his wife made sure every parent knew. Her son had to change schools again and again. And his private school was paid for with that money. Before she became the "Cash or card?" meme and one of Britain's best-known p*rn stars, Sophie was a single mum working as an escort. She charged £100 an hour. On weekends she worked 48 hours straight, at least 100 clients from Friday to Sunday. By her own count, at least 20,000 men. She kept it all secret from her son. Then one of the school dads booked her. His wife went through his phone, found the messages and pictures of Sophie, and made sure every parent knew. She told her son to tell Sophie's son exactly what his mother was. Sophie had to move him to a new school. Then another. "Quite a few times." When he was 10 she sat him down at the kitchen table and told him the truth. Not the s*x, she says, but what she had to do for him. Because the money was real. "One of the oldest professions," she says, "and I was getting paid f*cking good money." It paid for private school for years. For every club, every instrument, every holiday he wanted. "Someone who's a prostitute, who people judge all the time, could put her son through private school. I felt the best ever." But she admits it spoiled him. And that he was judged for her, over and over. "I feel so bad. The worst ever." When her son was in year 8, she stopped hiding. She went into p*rn, became a gay icon, and turned "Cash or card?" into one of the most famous memes on the internet. She died in December 2023. She was 36.а
