The Trump regime is so desperate to seize control and hold on to power that they’re trying to manufacture a crisis about Californians improperly voting or being improperly registered to vote. They do this to create a pretext for denying election results they don’t like.

Today, Jack Smith is testifying before the Senate Judiciary Committee. It made me think back to when he was before us on the House side.
Despite how he was treated by Trump, Smith declared to me that he was NOT going to be intimidated out of his pursuit for justice.

Nearly one year ago, Jack Smith volunteered to testify under oath before the Senate Judiciary Committee.
Finally, today, he will have that chance.
Enough baseless conspiracy theories. Enough sham hearings. Time for answers about President Trump’s efforts to break the law.

Sen. DURBIN: Here are the facts. Jack Smith was tasked with investigating President Trump's efforts to overturn the 2020 election and his unlawful retention of classified documents. The President sought to subvert the will of the people while knowing he lost the election.

California’s death penalty is broken, racist, costly, and inhumane. @cagovernor @GavinNewsom, the death penalty has no place in a society that values fairness, human rights, and human dignity. It’s time to #CommuteTheRow. #UniversalClemencyNow #ConfrontRacism #deathpenalty

Born and raised in LA County, David Huerta is a champion for justice and a good neighbor. Today, while advocating for his community during an ICE raid, he was injured and arrested. These raids are dangerous for our families and communities. They are unjust and must end.
Let’s be clear: ICE injured and detained the president of SEIU California for peacefully observing.
ICE picked the wrong side. The wrong state. The wrong person. and the wrong union. David Huerta stood up. And 750,000 SEIU workers are standing with him.

How can the @usedgov Office for Civil Rights properly serve students experiencing discrimination or with disabilities with a reduced staff and budget?
Kim Richey has no answer for @SenatorAndyKim. Students deserve a well-resourced OCR and an OCR leader who will fight for them.
