Late with my Twitter takes on this but I am a HUGE fan of this deal. Cap hit isn’t that bad with the cap raising soon. Is arguably the top goalie in league and even a down version of him is miles better than the Devils recent goaltending!

Hellebuyck looked checked out on the Jets and clearly didn’t want to be there while simultaneously looking unstoppable for the US team in the Olympics. I’m pretty skeptical that he’s washed. But even 75% of what he was in years past makes the Devils a contender.

Yes it’s an exhibition and yes Tennessee is a team of transfer all-stars that have a long way to go chemistry-wise. But this Duke team is so ridiculously loaded. Perfect blend of everything you want in a modern CBB team.
