They aren’t firing Rhule immediately. Look up revenue by year for football. The university makes bank. Doesn’t matter if we go 10-2 or 3-9. Fans show up, we still buy our gear. There’s no real incentive for the university to have success on the field. We’ve been near top 10 in football revenue for nearly a decade and look at our results at the end of the day.

I know it's sacrilege to criticize Dear Ol' Nebraska U athletics (and apparently one risks a block from the AD), but when is it fair to discuss the soccer situation? Can't blame the facilities. They are fantastic. The players deserve better coaching.

The University of Nebraska Marching Band will be wearing Gold and Black ribbons tonight. In some instances, the rivalry doesn’t matter. This is certainly one of them. Rest in Peace, Derek Phillips.
