Hey @HomeDepot @HomeDepotClicks — Order #WH47160748 placed Oct 3 still hasn't shipped. FedEx tracking 538856804000 shows label created Oct 4 and never handed over.
I’ve spent 85+ mins across 5 calls with no resolution (Escalation #41533439). Need a refund or replacement sent ASAP
Same frustration. I spent about $8K on FSD for my first 2019M3 once it was available, and transferred to my second 2023M3.
Basically auto steer+ and smart summon - a parlor trick was fun to show friends.
It's still not "self driving" and although improved, not worthy.
I did a calculation of the $7K FSD capability I bought back in 3/2019. I didn’t get FSD beta software until late 10/2021 so I’ve been using this capability for 52 months so far.
$7,000 / 52 months = $134.62/month
I’ve been paying ~$135/month so far for something that doesn’t work right, and Tesla hasn’t updated the software since 11/2024.
There are also many Tesla owners who paid $8K-$15K for FSD in countries that don’t even have FSD beta available yet.
I really hope @elonmusk and @Tesla will do the right thing by allowing us early FSD customers to transfer FSD license any time we choose to, when we are ready and financially able to buy another Tesla, instead of cutting off the transfer completely and leaving us hanging.
For us who participated in FSD beta program, we contributed to FSD data points that made FSD much better today (even though I cannot enjoy it). It would only make sense allowing us to grandfather our FSD license from vehicle to vehicle in the future to realize its true value and potential.
I muted him long ago. Still enjoying my second M3 but am ignoring his ideology. Also hoping they will fix the wipers on this smart car. 🫤
Replying to @elonmusk
@elonmusk I love what you have done for @Tesla and @SpaceX but unfortunately, for me, you have transitioned into GodMode, I will continue to support your hard working engineers on FSDBeta, but I can't watch and listen to what you seem to feel is your responsibility to influence. I agree with most of what you are aligned with, but unless you are running for office or want to run the world, you need to settle down. Muted

But when will Park Assist, Summon, and Smart Summon actually be re-enabled for the customers that paid for the features, were not informed until after taking delivery that the features would be disabled, and we are now exactly one year later after you accepted payment for Enhanced Autopilot… and I have never once been able to use 60% of the software package I paid for?
Great to hear from Gib Bassett!
I sat down for a chat with Gib Bassett for “The Data Table”. Great conversation around the field of AI and data science, and business strategy in adopting AI ethnically.

This struck me funny. Such old school tech for a great car company. But I see how efficient and smoothly Tesla delivers map updates and realize how far ahead they are...
To say nothing about the impact of OTA updates. The 2018 M3 I am driving is a new and improved car today!

Watch this. It needs no commentary.
The insanity that it represents is not our destiny or a prison sentence.
We are a free people who have imposed this on our children. We have chosen this by allowing it.

Hey @elonmusk, Wouldn't it be cool if M3 could #gotoGarage, kind of a #reverseSummon? Maybe use existing cams to memorize parked location. We could train it in learning mode how to park. Heck I'd be willing to paint symbols on my garage floor or install a transmitter if needed!

GCP is the greenest cloud already: the first one to become carbon neutral in 2007, the first (and only!) to get to 100% renewables (in 2017). And now: the only cloud disclosing carbon intensity. 1/3
