#CollabTalk Thanks for hosting @buckleyplanet , and once I worked out how to switch mics the live audio is a great way to connect! Cheers until next time.

#CollabTalk A7: Copilot won't transform business right away but LLMs are changing things already. It's a language engine. Better automated customer service. Better generated code.

#CollabTalk - hey everyone following this tag, there is a great live audio conversation happening right now, check for that link, some interesting perpectives!

#CollabTalk - glad to join the live chat!

#CollabTalk A4: And the remedy for dimished expectaions is training - it's not a magic oracle, it's a generator of words and pictures, and if you want that output to be relevant, it needs care and feeding.

#CollabTalk A3: Key roadblocks to GenAI are expectations vs reality. Copilot is a great conversation engine but don't expect it to reason. It's okay querying raw data, but don't expect it to read charts and diagrams in PDFs.

#CollabTalk A2: The standard answer here is permission reviews and a Search Center to check that content is appropriately secured, and then Purview / DLP as a backstop to throw nets over broad content areas, with a healthy dose of SharePoint Advanced Management.

#CollabTalk: In every conference I've attended btw - everyone's talking about how to use GenAI, how to build, what licenses you need, while no one was providing a decent mental model of how an LLM or GenAI solution like Copilot actually works. So that's where I start.

#CollabTalk A2: The first thing to assess is IT's readiness. I teach IT how LLMs and ML models actually work, and this helps all inolved understand both what to protect, and where the useful data for GenAI solutions might exist in the org.

#Collabtalk A1: "AI Readiness" is training of IT and users, and ensuring permissions are properly set on content. So standard change management. The difference now that GenAI is compelling enough that we're seeing orgs want to improve their content management, that's a win.
