funny no? how a book can stay the same while you quietly become someone it has to introduce itself to again. midnight library is about infinite lives. this book was a gift from someone i once treasured so much. 💕 "what if I chose this kind of life? what if I pursued a different path in college? what if I lived in a different city? and then it got me - what if there’s a life where my grandma is still here, and I just get to go home to her?" rereading it is proof of one: the same book, different version of me, and it still found the softest spot to hurt. and somewhere between the first read and this one, I outgrew a version of myself. and maybe that’s the gentlest parallel life, meeting the same book as a different me 💛

some people lose you even when you’re standing right in front of them. while others find you in a song, a sunset, a stranger’s post, and send it your way with “this reminded me of you” and suddenly i’m somewhere warm.
