Personally speaking, if I'm going to put on a VR headset, I want to get lost in an immersive world and go on a serious adventure. The bar of production/gameplay value that'll make me go through the hassle of being in VR is *high*. It's similar to convincing me to go see a movie in theaters. I'm not going to a theater to watch even the best YouTube videos, but if you're offering up a 2 hour block of entertainment—and hit a certain quality bar—you'll get me into the theater. There's two ways to tackle this challenge. One is higher quality games, the other is a lower friction VR experience (the less hassle it is to get into VR, the bar for what will get people over that hump is lowered). IMO both sides need to be focused on.
