My dad spent his career writing about the American West he loved. My kids wanted books about dragons. So my first book, Dub and the Dragon, is a family affair: a girl and her brother on the frontier find a baby dragon and protect him from outlaws. For readers 9–12.

America must rediscover it's ability to amend its Constitution and there's no better place to start than with the pardon power. This monarchical vestige has been abused by both parties and now, under the present Administration, has become a humming engine of corruption. – at Brookmont, MD

There’s a weird synergy about objective value among the four very different books I’m reading this week: Empire of Liberty, Gordon Wood (early US history) The Abolition of Man, CS Lewis (moral philosophy) Protocols, Andrew Huberman (health) A Parade of Horribles, Matt Dinniman (LitRPG)

I generally don’t like weaponizing scripture to validate political views, but it is funny that many who do so forget that the Bible repeatedly uses the figure of the tax collector as an archetype of the worst type of scum imaginable.

Look, our government's got issues, but it's still head and shoulders above the Ministry of Magic. No separation of powers, big bumbling bureaucracy filled with an ossified civil service, no real republican representation, and a court system utterly bereft of due process.

Instead of a Harry Potter show that follows the books: An E.R. style medical drama but it’s St. Mungo’s Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries.

Why yes, I did create a playlist with just the Masters of the Universe theme song so I can loop it all day. Building the intellectual case for freedom is epic, and it deserves epic background music, okay?
