$50K > $92K in 12 days trading perps Lessons as someone who never traded perps till this challenge started: > Every time I close a trade in profit my brain gets all wired up looking for more trades, am completely ignoring this feeling so I don't overtrade > Never shorting strong coins (ego trading) > Unlike spot, I take profits quickly and don't care if I miss upside, the vol of perps is huge and you can get back to entry in minutes I see the appeal in perps but can't recommend it at all for more than 10% of port, its a game of constantly fighting emotions and most people aren't equipped to deal with it On the other hand, I completely misunderstood perps. Very few people trade perps as a slow growth strategy where consistency is all that matters. You can not win perps if you are trying to do one big take and retire - you're dead from the start. The only way I see myself trading this account going forward (if I continue, idk) is to keep adding small wins relative to size and avoid making the mistake of going all in with a liquidation level that can be hit on a bad day for markets
