Republican firebrands hate everything about New York City and New Yorkers except in the first week of September where they have to pretend to care about us because this is where 9/11 happened and they need to weaponize our city’s pain to whip up their toxic cocktail of bombastic exclusionary nationalism and Islamophobia. Never let them.
The Governor of New York is now wearing a hijab to appease Islamists 12 days before the 25th Anniversary of 9/11. This is what surrendering to Mainstream Islam looks like. New York has now been conquered.

I will be sponsoring legislation to change the name of the Strait of Hormuz to the Strait of America. If Iran wants to play hard ball, so will we.

Looks like someone is giving William Howard Taft a run for his money!
Here’s Donald Trump at his golf club today: Notice anything about his appearance?

Kiely has conceded, David Siffert’s campaign tells me. @SiffertForNY won an extremely close AD-66 Democratic primary and is on track to be the first-ever nonbinary New York state legislator.
David Siffert is up 15 votes (out of 15,000+!) over Jeannine Kiely after the recount, in the race to replace Assembly Member Deborah Glick in Manhattan, per @SiffertForNY's lawyer, @SarahGoat. But @JeannineKiely's campaign has sued alleging irregularities, so it's not final yet.

USA!
Thomas Paine publishes an open letter in the Pennsylvania Evening Post, under the name “Republicus,” which advocates for the name “United States of America” for the new nation now emerging. This is the first time such a term has been used.

God’s heart is torn apart by wars, violence, injustice and lies. But our Father’s heart is not with the wicked, the arrogant, or the proud. God’s heart is with the little ones and the humble, and with them He builds up His Kingdom of love and peace day by day. Wherever there is love and service, God is there. #ApostolicJourney #Algeria

Extremely specific life advice: you can convert Fahrenheit to Celsius with the stops on the 6 train. 33 St =0° 42 St=5° 51 St=10° 59 St=15° Works to 96th St!

Reverend Jesse Jackson called on each of us to be heralds of change, to be messengers of hope; to step forward and say “Send me” wherever we have a chance to make an impact. How fortunate we were that Jesse Jackson answered that call. What a great debt we owe to him.

Apparently @jamestalarico won with a huge turnout from young adults. Want to know why? Here is my guess: On social media, the algorithms give you more of what you consume. Talarico’s messages are positive. To the point of being “syrupy”. Voters that committed to watching his social posts, got more of not only his posts, but also other positive messages. Contrast that with historically negative messaging across past elections, and I think the contrast was striking and motivational for many. Enough to draw record numbers to a primary. It may be crazy to some, but the idea of “my feed and FYP got better the more I watched his videos” is enough to get voters excited to support and vote for him. Call it “PositivityMaxxing” 😂. But I truly believe that candidates that can give positive messages, authentically and confidently , can be part of a new successful trend. Regardless of party or office. Thoughts ?

And for the record, I’ve been running long before this, and yes even after breaking my arm standing up for what I believe in. It’s only made me more determined. Anger is real, and so is resolve. Take care.

STFU. I was part of a snow shoveling crew. And yeah, there were 7 of us. So what? What's wrong with that? You do the job done and move on to the next. For 8 hours. And yeah, sometimes you just stand there and catch your breath. (Also it was $30/hour) You got a better plan?
zohran mamdani gave out $35 per hour to shovel snow to any person, so naturally each side walk intersection is now being shoveled by like 7 ppl. this is exactly how the government operates: without thinking about any second order affects & also because spending other ppl’s money (tax) is super duper easy. show me the incentives & i will show you the outcome.

Mamdani is an extraordinarily talented politician, but his success with Trump at least partially owes to the fact that he has no aspirations of being president. Not perpetually running for the next job tends to narrow your focus substantially
Mayor Mamdani is better at dealing with the President than anybody in the Democratic Party right now and it isn’t even close.
