This is Skye. He was lured out of Kruger National Park in South Africa a few weeks ago and illegally killed by JARED WHITWORTH from Kentucky during a safari hunt. Skye’s life was worth more than the amusement of a hunter. It’s time to #BanTrophyHunting once and for all!

Shame on you @Google. You preach “don’t be evil” while illegally clear-cutting 250,000 trees in Finland for a data center—turning ancient forest into a mud wasteland without even doing the required environmental checks. Tech giant. Nature zero. #GoogleGreenwashing

The young athlete was already playing in a league with kids 2 years older than him. Other parents on the opposing team are heard on video claiming the kid was "trying to put on a show." His mom replied, "Those grown ups huddled up talking about my son... but he ain't doing nothing but playing soccer." Incident occurred at an i9 Sports league soccer game in Winter Park, Florida. 🇺🇸 Pete Hegseth just got absolutely humiliated by Senator Tammy Duckworth! Senator Tammy Duckworth, a retired U.S. Army lieutenant colonel who lost both legs while serving in Iraq, challenged Hegseth: "I'm glad you brought that up. Can you name a single country that belongs to ASEAN and explain what agreement we have with it? And, by the way, how many countries are in ASEAN? Frankly, I'm not sure you even know who our allies are." Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth: "Well, I can't give you the exact number, but I certainly know our allies in South Korea, Japan, and Australia..." Senator Duckworth: "None of the countries you just mentioned are members of ASEAN. I suggest you do your homework before engaging in these discussions." And this is the kind of clueless bullshit running the Pentagon. Absolutely unbelievable.

Jenrick absolutely vile on Sky this morning and blatantly in contempt of court. In protecting his beloved Leader he referenced an 'attack' on Farage's home and te murder of Ann Widdicombe - what he stated was a clear contempt of Court (and not protected by Parliamentary privilege in a TV studio) - all to defend the £5million for security...

Nigel Farage’s attack on the RNLI and co is a new low even for this bottom-feeder. He wants to prosecute anyone who saves lives of people that he doesn't like. Desperate Farage diverts attention from investigations by pledging laws that can't work. archive.ph/5UYnG

Has it never rained before at this circuit?
Replying to @MotoGP
It's very embarrassing, did the committee not have any preparations to deal with something like this (heavy rain) such as modifying the weather or calling a rain master for example? #shame

While I was learning Chinese, we used to love the Confucius Institute because they'd give us free text books so we didn't have to buy them from the university. I remember in my city, the Confucius Institute had native Chinese speaking volunteers who could help with our study, and practice chatting and so on. When it was time for Chinese exams, which are super difficult for native English speakers, they'd do their best to help us go over our class material etc. Absolutely invaluable. Sometimes we could also take classes making dumplings and traditional fans and other arts. It was fun because you could learn new Chinese words and phrases at the same time. And I can tell you this: never once was politics brought up, let alone anything else apart from our study. Seeing that the US has classified Confucius Institutes as a national security risk literally made me laugh out loud. Honestly, what is up with the US and why are they adament on accelerating their own descent so freaking quickly? We've always known that the West, especially the US-led West, was declining, but I could never have guessed it would happen this fast, and it would be completely and utterly at their own hand. The US is scared of shadows, and it's freaking hilarious. 🤣
The War Department has designated Confucius Institutes as a threat to our national security.

The em dash vanished from machine text because it annoyed readers, and from human text because writers kept getting mistaken for bots. Now the detector punishes the human for writing like a machine and rewards the machine for writing like a human ↓

Remember when Trump campaigned on releasing the Epstein files? Good times.
The Epstein scandal just got a whole lot uglier. Newly released emails show Trump's White House helped edit the DOJ/FBI memo declaring there was no basis for further investigations. The suggested edits? Redacted. Think about that. The president's own staff had a hand in drafting the official explanation for why investigators should stop digging into a scandal involving his longtime former friend. What exactly did the White House want changed? Release the fucking edits.
