If you go back and read this post from @iancassel you will quickly realize…. Stanley Ma from MTY #MTY $MTY $MTY.TO was the best CEO ever at M&A in the #QSR space in Canada….hands down. His super power was his discipline…..he was Batman and his Robin was Claude. So IMO….Peter from Foodtastic played his hand and publicly called out Stanley hoping shareholder pressure would help get a deal done…but there is risk with that move….and he is up against an M&A legend…I have my popcorn ready…🍿 Stanley is the most disciplined M&A guy to ever play the game….and he has never been a big fan of being in the spotlight… I hope these two Montreal food powerhouses get a deal done….but now with Eric out as CEO….I think Stanley digs in and tries to improve the business to create more value for shareholders….so if Peter really wants to own it…I would suggest he raise his offer and provide proof of funds for the transaction. EFS is a real term…just a matter of price IMO…hopefully Brookfield $BN $BAM.TO will support Peter in this transaction and raise their offer. Just sharing my opinion…as I have been asked A LOT.
