I can see why a remake of FFX feels "inevitable". I just question why so many think that would be a good idea? The OG is amazing! What would a remake even improve on? If your answer is "graphics", I'm equally baffled because better graphics does not equal better experience.

I don't think we should expect remakes, but after beating FFX, they are 100% remaking that eventually. Could be decades, but I feel it in my gut that it's happening.

This shouldn't be a hot take at all, but I really think we need to stop expecting remakes. I just want the games that exist to be accessible to play, and I'd much rather see NEW stuff.

It's taken a good portion of my adult life now for 7R to be completed. I don't want that for another. Especially when half the discourse about it is people's bizarre expectations based on headcanons. If you think fans of FFVII are insufferable, I promise there are worse.

There is nothing about Final Fantasy Resonance that makes you think this was based off a mobile gacha game. Without that prior knowledge you wouldn’t be able to tell. So please don’t let that hold you back. This is a great Final Fantasy title.
