To prove there are still some things on Twitter worth sticking around for…. Here’s one of last year’s baby adders. Freshly emerged from its first hibernation, so tiny it could coil up on a 2 pence piece… Miniature perfection.

Going fishing enables me to step out of this crazy, frenetic world into secret, tranquil, watery places. Shared with Chetti's Warblers, Reed Buntings, Black Caps, golden scaled Rudd, and the olive green, red eyed Tench. Transcendental stuff, for sure! @fallonsangler

“End of an era” is a cliche, but it’s not just a retirement, Sir Jimmy’s career has spanned the biggest changes in the sport too - Test cricket will never be the same again. I’m that melancholic I just forgot to get my son ready for school. #JamesAnderson

Phenomenal small stream urban action today with @JackPerksPhoto ! 🎣🐟🎣🐟🎣 Chub, dace, rudd, bream - I even a lost sea trout - but this city stream is only fishable after heavy rain & after two hours of solid hauling, it lost its depth, colour & all the fish vanished!
