Sunday evening parenting thought:
If you're a parent with young kids, and you're not feeling precious moments of joyful delight at the awesome cuteness, competence, or charisma of your kids, at least a few times a day, then either
1) You're not paying enough close, sustained, deliberate attention to your kids when they're playing happily and learning new things, and/or
2) You haven't learned enough about the sublime, dizzying scientific complexity of how your kids are growing -- the whole infrastructure of genetics, biochemistry, neurophysiology, and cognitive development -- that has been transforming your kids from single fertilized eggs into new conscious beings in their own right, with their own beliefs, desires, goals, passions, and quirks.
Mindful engagement with kids, plus scientific understanding of child development, makes parenting hugely more rewarding.

The first mission of the Church is to help people be attentive to the profound questions of life: those concerning our origin and our destiny, as well as those concerning the meaning of love and suffering. The logic of profit at all costs and the manipulation of information risk exerting undue pressure on people to conform to a lifestyle centred on the consumption of material goods, but our hearts are made to look upwards. #GeneralAudience
A little double rainbow for you today. Remember to enjoy the little things. They are often fleeting.

Welcome to Robot Park, where we’re building the future with Apollo 2. Robot Park is where Apollo learns today, getting the experience needed to make a difference tomorrow.

Love this
I want to introduce you to Steve. He’s 83. His wife died a few months ago and he comes to this lodge in Spring Mill, Indiana and draws. He taught art in Terre Haute, IN his whole life. He also did courtroom sketches in court cases. In the comments I’ll share some pics from his sketchbook. He was excited when I said I was going to share his sketches with the world.
This app is a cesspool of bots @elonmusk. I really want it to be a place to connect with real people. That is impossible when it is like this.

It’s a bit funny.
This essay misses the relational element of creating with others. 2000 words and zero thoughts about trust, relationships, humanity, and soul.
I know I’m in constant danger as a middle manager. If all I’m doing is passing info back and forth, I don’t belong at that place.
It’s the idea de jour that middle management should die. But great middle managers can create and shape culture, trust, speed, and safety.
Maybe my role should die, maybe it will.
AI can route information better than managers. It can. The question is whether the things that make teams actually work, trust, safety, someone willing to fight for your growth, can be modeled well and with a human touch.
Jack wrote 2,000 words about how organizations work and never once mentioned why people do their best work. It’s never an information problem, it’s a human one.
Not sure what happened with these Pamelas gluten free fig bars @WholeFoods but this is a brand new package with months till it expires
X desperately needs an “AI Generated” Community Note, a mandatory, visible “AI Generated” tag on posts, or a simple ban on AI generated videos and photos @elonmusk because it is rapidly becoming a waste of time trying to navigate truth on here. People simply will stop coming.

RIP Scott Adams. I hope this inspiring quote of his lives forever:
“I have poor art skills, mediocre business skills, good but not great writing talent, and an early knowledge of the Internet. And I have a good but not great sense of humor. I’m like one big mediocre soup. None of my skills are world-class, but when my mediocre skills are combined, they become a powerful market force.”
I would love if there was a feature in @X where I could ban posts that simply repost real content while attaching a gif meme. The algorithm is pumping these, it’s dominating my feed, and it adds zero value to my experience.
